"ITT fined $100 Million for Illegal Exports
Manufacturer admits to exporting night vision materials to China, Singapore and Britain without U.S. authorization.
ITT Corporation Fine
ITT was fined up to $100 million for illegally exporting night vision technology to China, Singapore and Britain without first obtaining authorizations to do so from the military. Half of the fine will be reinvested into ITT's development of next-generation night vision to which the government will assume rights. In its investigation and subsequent ruling the DOJ found that the corperation went to significant lengths to circumvent rules regarding the exports including setting up a front corperation. According to U.S. Attorney John Brownlee the company fought the investigation in order "to essentially run out the clock on the statute of limitations."
Did anyone go to jail?
We give the Chinese technology that took generations to conceive, support them with interest from the national debt better than any communist welfare ever could, allow elite corporate opportunists to drive the status into perpetual indebtedness, and entrust the US national security to a whim.
When is it time to talk about treason?
