When you show a video of a cop shooting an unarmed black man, that just enflames the black community.
Then some blacks riot, steal big screen TVs, and then the racists point at this and say, "see, we told you they were that way!"
The printed word is less volatile. You read what happened and you can make a logical decision. People aren't going to riot over the printed word.
Videos also get in the way of the cops getting a fair trial.
