Please think before you speak.
Yeah but I don't care if you get obease on your dime.

Obese is caused by poverty........ Poor people who are on food stamps can not really eat healthy food because of its price.

1. I didn't. 2) How do you prove this? Why do the loons, which you may/may not be, get so worked up over something you can'tor prove? 3) Btw, are you too good to like anyone? That screams "Young" no matter your politics.

1 ok but did you stand up for him ?
2 Idk you would have do a subsnitive health study but my point was that we have excess in these programs that area king harder for people to motivate themselves to get out of the program. These programs are supposed to suck they are supposed to barely get you by so you want to get off them as soon as possible. 3 I post from my phone which won't let me like .

Wrong again....

Beans and rice cause metabolic syndrome in people

In summary, dietary patterns of Puerto Rican adults living in the greater Boston area were associated with metabolic syndrome and its components. A traditional pattern high in rice, beans, and oil, and a sweets pattern high in sugar, sugary beverages and dairy desserts were associated with a higher likelihood of metabolic syndrome and lower HDL-cholesterol, suggesting that extreme intakes of these patterns contribute to the metabolic syndrome. The meat and French fries pattern was associated with higher blood pressure and waist circumference. More research is needed to examine these associations in prospective studies and to develop appropriate nutritional recommendations for this high-risk population.

THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK!!

1) Now you're changing the parameters, but I did in class as a teacher. 2) Bush stood at near 50 million through no fault of his. 3) Click on the "+ to the right of the 'reply with quote' and like/share should pop up. 4) Now taking foot out of my mouth.

That's starch. Carbs. Calories that turn into fat if not burned off.

Ever met a poor person with a gym membership?

So you ARE a nutritional scientist after all.

Is there any scientific topic conservatives haven't googled and made themselves instant experts in?

It's fed billions of people in the world I don't think they would keep doing it if it was killing them.

Again never claimed to be a expert and neuter are the academics that right these papers to be a expert you need to have experice in that field. So unless you have been a nutritionist you are hot a expert on nutrition.

Way to just throw out a very significant and credible study just on your own whims because it disagrees with you.

Forgive me if I put more clout in tradition than a study some one pulled out.

Socialism and capitalism. It is all about greed. The difference is that at least the capitalists are up front about it.

Forgive me if I put more clout in tradition than a study some one pulled out.

No, you just choose to ignore facts. Its ok, most conservatives do.

You discredit studies by saying they are just "pulled out" as if they are just someone sitting down at their keyboard typing random stuff. Research is done, data is compiled and analyzed, scientific method must be adhered to, etc..

This study doesn't mean that if you eat rice and beans tonight you are going to die tomorrow. Throughout human history we have eaten them because they are easy crops to grow, harvest, prepare and eat. Just because we have been eating them does not mean its unhealthy to eat only rice and beans. Your logic makes NO sense. A lot of people probably would have been better off if they had other things in their diets.

Its like when I hear "Lead paint can't be that bad...my crib and toys were painted with it when I was a kid."

All it is is ignoring facts and evidence, and is some of the worst logic I have ever heard.

Data can be manipulated to say a lot of diffrent thinks that's why we need multiple teams of scientist to come to agreement before we start taking things as fact and before you start on global warming with me I was a environmentall science major in school so I've done the research and I know what's going on and I don't need a lecture from you about how I'm probably a climate denier.

Haha, you trust the government to tell you what to eat. I lean left and I wouldn't trust them if me life depended on it. You cant be conservative, you trust the feds...

No I trust social Darwinism if a tradition kills of those that partake on it there will be fewer to pass tha tradition on.

Lean Socialist - In These Times

Socialism, over the past centuries, has meant a lot of things - brutal repression, democratic workers' states, experimental communities, even anarchism. But no matter what was said about it, we couldn't shake it. It's remained a powerful force, taking part in crucial global revolutions and countless domestic initiatives.

So share your opinions here, but first... your definition. ;)

No, it is not a time to seriously discuss socialism. It is a flawed doctrine based on a government that strong arms people into compliance or the magic fairy world in which everybody is happy with their lives and greed, jealousy and envy do not exist.

No, it is time for fiscal responsibility with a rise in taxes on the very wealthy or those people who are very very affluent, a tax mitigation for the middle class and the poor and a smart investment scheme in which the US invests in home grown industry. The kind of industry that keeps the US at the cutting edge of new technology, green, computer, electronic, domestically produced energy and also invests in education to have workers to work in that kind of an industry.

Then, after a few years when the economy is throwing out a good surplus on the budget and the government debt to China and others is being paid off, then there can be a comprehensive tax cut, especially aimed at those who had to pay extra for a few year. And if there is any money left it should be invested wisely again in education reform and trying to subsidize green initiatives that will create new, good paying and innovative jobs in the US.

At least I think that is a much better idea than to turn to socialism.

You can tax the rich all you want, they are just going to pay their workers even less and keep taking more and more for themselves.

I know you wern't arguing for it, but trickle down economics is probably the biggest lie ever told to the American people to try and convince them they arn't being shafted.

I think one the biggest lies ever told is your signature quote. Anyone who is a student of the teachings of Jesus knows he taught personal responsibility for our own choices. He commanded his followers to give to poor, feed the hungry, care for the sick etc. as their personal responsibility not the government's. When you allow a government to forcefully take money from its citizens to pay for things you want then that amounts to stealing. Jesus called stealing a sin.

Well that and the fact that Hittler campaigned for chancellor on a socialist platform my favorite was government paid vacation for workers.

Do yourself a favor and at least make an attempt to familiarize yourself with the topics you wish to discuss.

There is not even a point having a discussion with someone who believes the totalitarian NAZI regime was socialist.
