Votes are still being counted in several House races. But the AP has now called another race in New Jersey, projecting Democrat Andy Kim the winner in the suburban Philadelphia 3rd Congressional District over incumbent Republican Tom MacArthur.

That means, more than a week after Election Day, Democrats have increased their House gains to a net of 34 seats — and, when all the vote is counted, they may get to 39.

Make no mistake: That is a very big wave.

I have to believe that this result was a reaction to 2 years of Trump. His odds of getting reelected are looking pretty slim. Sixteen per cent of Republicans say they will not vote for him.

Here's a little perspective for you: Republicans gained 63 seats in the midterm in 2010. Obama still dominated in 2012.

Democrats were supposed to win seats and they did. The GOP has the lost HoR but not the Senate. Call it whatever you will...

What's concerning is that at least a dozen of those Dem winners came about AFTER election day.

We know there are shenanigans going on in Florida. I wonder what shenanigans haven't been caught in other states?

Waves happen very fast. This whole thing has been unfolding very, very slowly, but very convincingly nontheless. It's been more like a blue steamroller than a blue wave.

Shenanigans don't even matter when you simply replace the electorate. What has Trump done to stop this demographic revolution? Nothing.

Shenanigans absolutely do matter. Just ask Snipes.

Do you know why shenanigans don't matter? Look at how Democrats have a lock on basically every election in California. This is what Florida will be in a few years, and what the rest of the country will be in a few decades.

"Our democracy" has become nothing more than a racial headcount.

Isn't that the definition of democracy? If democrats get a lock on every state in the country in the next few decades, its because the majority voted democrat. This IS democracy.

What do you call it when one political party is hellbent on importing foreigners to vote for them and subvert the will of the citizens of that country? Sounds like tyranny to me.

The Republicans picked 63 House seats and 6 Senate seats. That was the biggest turnover in 60 years.

If those foreigners become citizens of that country before they vote, then by definition it is not subverting the will of the citizens. It is subverting the will of a political party rapidly becoming a minority. Subverting the will of the majority is tyranny. Subverting the will of the minority is called democracy.

Democrat in Maine District 2 declared the winner.,....The wave rolls on!

And when did the majority of voters approve of population-replacement levels of immigration?

It's the same phenomenon that happens every election cycle. The election of Barack Obama was a wake up call for apathetic republicans, who turned out in record numbers for the 2010 mid terms. The midterms were a wake up call for apathetic democrats, who turned out in record numbers to reelect Obama, which spurred republicans again the next midterm to keep their majority. Trump was a wake-up call for apathetic democrats last election season who turned out in the midterms to pull the house left again. And on it goes.

This is less a question of which party wields the most power and influence and more a question of which party's voters tend to be the laziest. And, if history is any indicator, the answer is: "yes."

The best cure for laziness is fear. We'll see how afraid the democrats are in 2 years.

And when did the majority of voters approve of population-replacement levels of immigration?

The country was founded on population-replacement levels of immigration.

Nah, it's much more than that, because now the GOP is starting to get women against them, even the uneducated ones, not to mention Jews, or Asians, or...

You are not going to win elections by appealing only to uneducated white male Chrisitan protestants. I mean I know there are a lot of them, but you really have to be able to do at least a little more than that.

And watch as the Democrats piss away these gains.

No, that's not even remotely 'concerning' to anyone who understands how elections work and votes are tallied.

What's got you so confused?

It call it "Fantasy Land bull****" because it's not actually happening here.

It's what Trump did in 2016, and it worked. Yes, eventually it will fail, which is why his inaction on immigration is stupid and self defeating.

Here's a little perspective for you: Republicans gained 63 seats in the midterm in 2010. Obama still dominated in 2012.

Here's a fun fact for you. President Obama lost so many seats in the mid-terms in 2010 because Americans were pissed that he didn't fix the mess that he inherited from dubya. You know the recession, double digit unemployment, multi-trillion dollar deficit..... And the republicans refused to help America get out of the recession and just sat there and blamed President Obama for the recession and high unemployment.

And here's another fun fact for you - President Obama's approval rating at his inauguration was 68% and 8 years later he left office with a 67% approval rating. dubya left office with a 31% approval rating. trump 's approval rating at his 'BIGGEST EVER ATTENDED' inauguration was a pathetic 46% and it is currently an even more pathetic 40%. A strong economy and low unemployment should be giving a president an approval rating of AT LEAST 75%. Why oh why is his approval rating SO BAD?

And watch as the Democrats piss away these gains.

Bill Clinton inherited a mess from Bush and managed to produce a SURPLUS, a booming economy and low unemployment. dubya managed to piss away all these gains on tax cuts for his rich mates and two unnecessary and illegal wars.

President Obama inherited a mess from dubya and managed to get the country out of the recession, create millions of jobs FOR Americans, reduced the unemployment rate from double digits to under 5%, and handed trump a strong economy, low unemployment and a reduced deficit.

Now trump has pissed most of those gains away on tax cuts for the rich, border protection and unnecessary vacations, golf games and rallies. The deficit is so bad under trump that America has to borrow over $1.3 trillion to pay for the tax cuts for the rich and for the border wall that trump promised Mexico would pay for.

Economists around the world are predicting trump will cause another global recession ....probably worse than the one dubya caused.
