It turns out that Russia DID NOT attack Ukraine

Based on this reporting it seems that Russia's actions were purely DEFENSIVE and due solely to the pending attack by Ukraine on Russian territory...which had been Ukrainian territory before Russia took it over in 2014.

Oh! Almost forgot. Also "US/Ukrainian alliance producing bioweapons"

The entire Ukrainian conflict is the result of long standing civil conflict within Ukraine, stemming from factions in the Ukraine either in favor of closer economic ties to the EU, or closer ties to Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. The dispute has been simmering for years in the post Soviet break up era. This did not just spark in the last few months.

Saddam was interrogated by the CIA following his capture. He was asked why he played that dangerous game of cat and mouse regarding WMD, which resulted in his ouster and the U.S. invasion. His reply was very telling.

First, he said he said he did not have any WMD, but it was important that Iran believed he did. It was the only thing keeping Iran at bay and not attacking Iraq. Second, he did not believe that Bush was really going to invade, considering that he could not get the rest of the world to support such an invasion.

Shortly after that interrogation, Saddam was tried and executed by his countrymen.

Hysterically funny but Russia technically did not invade Ukraine because Ukey Land has no registered borders .

And its just this sort of gobbledegook that makes the UN the toothless, useless organization that it most often is. UN and "legal jurisdiction" can barely be included in the same sentence without eliciting laughter.

Now you probably know why Sleepy and his handlers are so reluctant to put troops in and have to resort to recruiting Syrian and African terrorists / mercenaries to be flown in and retrained by US Elite Forces .

Hmmmmm, it appears that it is Putin that is recruiting Syrians to fight for him. Do you have a citation for the absurd set of claims in the quote box above? Now that I think about it, do you have a citation for the UN gobbledegook you posted in #38?

Ii would also suggest at this point that since anybody can come up with justification for anything whether based in fact or not, the goal should be to stop Putin from the wholesale slaughter he is currently engaged in without rewarding him for his slaughter or creating a larger war.

Amazing how much parroting of the Putin line is done here under the guise of debate. Its just parroting...in other words Putin PROPAGANDA.
 
Lets cut to the chase shall we. None of what Putin is trying to do in Ukraine has anything to do with denazification, Donbas, Russian language, an attack to defend against NATO or any of the rest of the Putin line so many forum participants and utterly unscrupulous media talking heads parrot to justify this wholesale Putin slaughter in his insistence on taking Ukraine. Its about the wheat....its all about the wheat.

Currently Russia is the worlds largest exporter of wheat. Much of Ukriane's wheat is also exported. Putin simply wants to corner particular world markets just as he has made his mark exporting fossil fuels to Europe. Now you can also understand why slaughtering the population and demolishing the cities of Ukraine is of little consequence to Putin. He maybe looses a growing season from this war if he can completely take the country. But again its another calculation on Putin's part based on Ukrainians giving up.

Initially Putin thought he would walk over Ukraine. That proved a way wrong assessment on his part. Now he is determined to demolish Ukraine if that is what it takes to move in. But even that is a wrong assessment. He cannot hold Ukraine no matter what he does. In other words this is a needless slaughter of human beings for an entirely geoeconomics goal.

I don't give a crap what posters think of Ukraine or Ukrainians and I certainly do not care about the useless naive comments like "why should I care about what happens to Ukraine". At the end of the day, this is a slaughter by Putin entered upon for geoeconomics dominance of another export sector to go along with what he has going in Europe with fossil fuels. Its not more complicated than that. Anybody that thinks it suits US national security interests to let him get away with it, needs his head examined and a crash course in geopolitics and geoeconomics.
 
It is worth noting that Putin is likely killing as many ethnic Russians as a percentage of the population of Ukraine as he is killing Ukrainians since he has turned to wholesale slaughter of civilians. So much for his claims of invasion for the sake of the Donbas or denazification to protect ethnic Russians or any of the other crap he has been peddling as justification for invading Ukraine and slaughtering it people.
