In an interview a week ago, Trump was asked about the over 170,000 deaths and the lack of administration's response to the virus and he said "It is what it is!"

"It is what it is" can only come from a person that does not care about others but also does not know what to do about it. Is incompetent in dealing with problems, just like he was incompetent in making 13 companies he built be successful (3 of them being casinos, that rarely fail).

The virus has not been the fault of Trump but the incompetent response to it had caused many unnecessary American deaths to occur.

Michelle Obama said it best last night

"This job as president is hard. It does not change who you are but reveals who you are"

"out economy is in shambles because of a virus this president downplayed for too long"

"we have turned back on agreements not only forged by my husband but on alliances championed by Reagan and Eisenhower"

"Black lives matter is still met with derision by the nations highest office"

"because when we look to this office for leadership, consolation or any semblance of steadiness, what we get is chaos, division and a total lack of empathy"

This speech is simply the truth of what is happening now and we all need to get together and cure our nation of the cancer that Trump is. Vote in November.

BigMike is in no position to define what is 'hard' relative to being POTUS. Not a clue

It is what it is. The virus has hit the entire world. There is no way to stop it without throwing the entire world into economic chaos worse than the Great Depression. All, for fighting a disease that claims less than 1% of the population.

It is funny though, we have 25% of the world's death but only 4% of the population. In addition, there are many countries that started with high contagion and death counts that are now down to nothing (and have been down to nothing for the past 2 months) and our contagion and death counts continue to make new highs. Nonetheless, it is what it is? No, it is because Trump failed to do what other nations did. Simple answer.

Greater than 1%, at least in America. Also, #1 and 2:

Don't for a minute go thinking you can break his denial and willful ignorance. He's a died in the wool white winger; he's completely immune to reason....

I've come to accept abortion and inner city crime too.It is what it is.

It is hard to claim to be protectors of the most vulnerable lives then completely disregard that for the almight dollar during a pandemic. No wonder you've finally come to accept it.

The US went to war and invaded 2 countries killing thousands and costing trillions of dollars for an event that killed less than 10 000

At least you realize there is a problem, unlike many Trumpers that see no problem.

The thing is that you cannot change human behavior but you can change who is making the decisions. Big difference

That is telling him the naked truth. It ain't pretty.................trump being seen naked..ugh!

And you like the progress we are currently making?

And you like the progress we are currently making?

It is what it is. I don't know what else we could do. The left only talk about mask mandates and lock downs. We don't need a national mask mandate. Why should Hawaii have a mask mandate? And we tried a lock down before which destroyed the economy and put millions out of work. Since it didn't work the first time we would have to lock down even more. It is what it is. We ARE making fast progress on a vaccine. We wouldn't be in this predicament if New York hadn't spread the virus everywhere.

It sounds like you are against mass testing. Afraid of the truth huh?

It is what it is should not be acceptable. Nor should people have accepted What difference does it make. Until people decide to hold the politicians they support to the same standards as those they oppose then we will continue the cycle of stupidity we’re stuck in.

.

and???

I know you wanted him to say something like" OMG it's all my fault , we need to electe Democrats because they know EVErYTHING and THEY CARE!!!"

Just for the record for as long we continue without a National Plan and Strategy v COVID, we will suffer the most deaths, the most destruction, the most economic hardship possible. We can develop vaccines, treatments, rapid tests till hell freezes over. We will not get the full benefit of those developments, hardly. In fact we will simply suffer the most death and destruction possible WITH a vaccine, the most death and destruction possible WITH a treatment, the most death and destruction possible with rapid testing. All you have to do is look at our COVID response to pronounce Trump worst President all time.

Trump did claim that there would be a plan coming about two weeks ago, 6 months into what should have been a spirited National COVID response. You can toss that LIE into the same bin with his "middle class tax cut heading into the 2018 mid-terms" LIE and his "new healthcare system" LIE.

It sounds like you are against mass testing. Afraid of the truth huh?

What good is mass testing? It isn't any good at all. California, Florida, and Texas have mass testing. What good did it do them? Testing only works with contact tracing and once you reach a certain number contact tracing is pretty much worthless. You can't contact trace 10,000 cases per day.

No, Klattu but that is exact.y the problem.

Admitting mistakes and taking responsibility is what makes a person grow and learn. It is also what makes us all human. The one thing that can be said with 100% certainty is that no one is perfect. When a person does not accept responsibility for his decisions, it means he will never fix the problem. I don't know about you but I like problem solvers as problems are a part of life and getting over them makes us be in a better position.

We all know the virus is going to kill a lot of people. Nonetheless, wouldn't it be nice if it killed less rather than more? Wouldn't it be positive if the problem went away sooner rather than later. Wouldn't it be great if we could open schools with some confidence that the virus would not spread? Go back to work with confidence that we are not going to get sick and/or pass it on to one of our loved ones?

When a person says "it is what it is", it means that he cannot or will not do anything about making things better. It means he is giving up and allowing things to happen until such a time that they stop by itself, even though it may mean millions of deaths.

Would that be something you support? Giving up and not trying to fix a problem? Let life lead you instead of you attempting to forge your own path?

By the way, I don't expect you to answer because it would mean that you would have to piss on your idol and that is not something you can or ever want to do, is it?

Face it, Trump is not the man you thought he was. He is the man I (and millions of others) thought he was. As Michelle Obama said. Being president is a hard job. It does not change you, it shows who you truly are. Trump is totally incompetent and uncaring. I guess, we can all say "it is what it is". So the question now is "will WE do anything about it, or sit back and continue to let it happen.

I would like to hear trump repeat that line if he is ever unfortunate enough to become infected.

I will not give up my autonomy or freedoms just to save lives from the flu.

Then be prepared for the consequences of your decisions. Every decision has benefits and consequences and when you make a decision you need to be fully aware of both. Ultimately you will end up getting the benefit or the consequence, without having a say in it. Life is like that.

Tuscaloosa man dies of COVID-19, family says he refused to wear mask
by Annie Mapp, WBMAFriday, July 10th 2020

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WBMA) — A Tuscaloosa family is encouraging people to wear masks after their father died of COVID-19.

Amy and Tyler Hinton say their father, Joe Hinton, thought COVID-19 was a hoax and didn't believe in wearing masks.

'I gave this to my dad': COVID-19 survivors grapple with guilt of infecting family
A haunting feeling afflicts those who believe that in the fog of the coronavirus’ early spread, they unwittingly exposed the people they loved the most.
