As this initial FBI foray is a softening up move to get the public accustomed to the idea that the real terrorists are their fellow citizens here at home, Kelly will get off this time. But next time the FBI will find emails on his computer from a “terrorist group” set up by the CIA that will incriminate him. Under the practices put in place by the Bush and Obama regimes, and approved by corrupt federal judges, protesters who have been compromised by fake terrorist groups can be declared “enemy combatants” and sent off to Egypt, Poland, or some other corrupt American puppet state – Canada perhaps – to be tortured until confession is forthcoming that antiwar protesters and, indeed, every critic of the US government, are on Osama bin Laden’s payroll
Americans are the most gullible people who ever existed. They tend to support the government instead of the Constitution, and almost every Republican and conservative regards civil liberty as a coddling device that encourages criminals and terrorists.

The US media, highly concentrated in violation of the American principle of a diverse and independent media, will lend its support to the witch hunts that will close down all protests and independent thought in the US over the next few years. As the Nazi leader Joseph Goebbels said, “think of the press as a great keyboard on which the Government can play.”

An American Police State was inevitable once Americans let “their” government get away with 9/11. Americans are too gullible, too uneducated, and too jingoistic to remain a free people. As another Nazi leader Herman Goering said, “ The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. Tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peace-makers for lack of patriotism and for exposing the country to danger.”

This is precisely what the Bush and Obama regimes have done. America, as people of my generation knew it, no longer exists.
We were warned that giving too much power to the state only results in the people getting royally screwed over. Of course there are those who defend the state saying that its the only way to get rid of the enemy. Eventually you become the enemy since everyone's political team doesnt stay in power forever.

This happening under a Democrat regime (Dems denying on their mothers' graves that the left has nothing to do with fascism), and the libertarians sitting by sucking bongs while all this is going on.

So basically, America committed 9/11 and whatever this article is (I'm not going to waste my time reading it) confirms Akmadinijad's views.

And you didnt even read the article did you, but got the context of it from your imaginatiion

Anti war protestors had their houses and property searched and seized on the pretext they were providing material support to terrorism. If I recall the article never mentioned the US being involved in 9/11 or the Iranian president.

It concenrtates on the US government stifling any sort of peacefull disent to its wars

It's based on truther nonsense and I stopped entertaining myself with that stuff years ago. Sorry, it's just not worth my time to read.

Germany faked an attack on their own government building in order to pass political laws "For The Protection of the People and the State".

When Germany passed these "emergency" laws through their government they created the SA Storm Troopers which had completely seperate powers from their existing military and police....in fact many German officers questioned why they did this.

These SA Storm Troopers were the group that went and arrested many opposing political party members and Jews with their seperate powers from the police, etc taking orders directly from within its government.

This was able to be discreet through media control in Germany and it was only rumors or "conspiracy" at the time while the masses were in denial...

America had an attack on its own buildings and had a pre-written document pushed through with huge pressure and it was called the "Patriot Act"

This document which was very long and pre-written before 9/11 was pressured for every Senator to pass without having the chance to read it and analyze it.

One week after 9/11 an Anthrax attack occured which targeted media and the Senators mostly outspoken against this passing of the Patriot Act.

This Anthrax was in the media as a strain which only could come from Iraq at first.

This was at first portrayed as the link from the U.S. "terrorist sleeper cells" to the "mobile weapon labs" in Iraq...

This Anthrax was then proven by a U.S. Scientist to be a strain that came from a base right here in the U.S.

The Patriot Act which was passed because of an attack on American buildings has many similarities to Germany's "For the Protection of the People and the State" act passed after Germany faked an attack on their own Government building.

Just like the SA Storm Troopers had completely seperate powers....the U.S. created "Homeland Security" too has completely seperate powers...

Just like the SA Storm Troopers (created after their fake attack on their own building) had the right to arrest anyone in Germany with opposing political views and Jews under the guise of their "For the Protection of the People and the State"....

The U.S. "Homeland Security" (created after an attack on their own building) has the power to arrest ANYONE detain them FOREVER and the arrested person DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO DUE PROCESS OF THE LAW...and does not even get a phone call.....all this by simply someone saying they are a suspected terrorist. The arrested person has no right to trial or anything....

These laws were forced through after 9/11 and are completely legal...

It is only a matter of time before it gets completely abused.....perhaps after another (false flag?) attack....

America will be a police state when you can't say it is a police state, so until this guy is jailed for sedition I think we haven't reached that phase yet.

However 9/11 and other terror worries have caused an erosion of civil liberties, there is no denying that. There once was a time when you could walk through an airport without being up viewed completely in the nude.

Of course that assumes that is the only major sign of a police state's arrival, IMO it is mar more complicated than that.

Fortunately, I am still optimistic that we won't reach the point of true police state - at least without a fight - though I do believe that if our society remains apathetic [fortunately not a trend I see continuing either] then we're just waiting for it to happen.

Not only that, but we weren't so damn fearful of people holding a CAMERA for god's sake.

We're nowhere near a police state.
Any one who says that the US is simply is ignorant of what they are attempting to talk about.

That being said, I do believe that there is a day of reckoning coming soon where we have to make some decisions concerning what type of republic is sustainable in 2010. We live under a document written over 200 years ago. Can you imagine a company not updating its business plan in 200 years? No. So sooner or later people will realize that the best minds of 1776--if those were the best minds of their time--cant translate into 2010. Not becausee they are stupid but because they dont have the data we have. The constitution, if it were written today by the same people would look totally different.

I fear we won't learn that until its too late

Things that aren't true. e.g. Most of what you write.
Again....please be specific on what is not true....Here is a recap....

You have any facts to back this statement or are you just being a troll again?

Oh Im sorry I thought you were a conservative, didnt realize you would adopt liberal tactics when it comes to articles you dont like.

The PATRIOT Act wasn't signed into law by a President from the Democratic Party.
Democrats fully supported the PATRIOT Act when it was introduced with exceptions being Fiengold and Kucinich.

Yes, but it was supported by the Republicans as well, and signed into law by a Republican President. That was my point to American.

For you "mainstream intellects" opposing any type of "conspiracy theory" and any type of new and real investigation into your government....here is a small sample of what will come and continue to be worse...

Hundreds protest FBI raids on anti-war activists - Yahoo! News

MINNEAPOLIS – Hundreds of protesters gathered outside FBI offices in Minneapolis and Chicago on Monday, bearing signs and shouting chants condemning the agency's recent searches of homes and offices of anti-war activists in both cities.

About 150 people protested in Minneapolis, with signs reading: "Stop FBI harassment. Opposing war is not a crime." Roughly 120 people marched in Chicago, chanting, "Hey, hey! Ho, ho! FBI raids have got to go!"

Search warrants had indicated investigators were looking for connections between the activists and radical groups in Colombia and the Middle East. Activists interviewed by The Associated Press scoffed at the suggestion that they might have provided material support to terrorism, and denied contributing money to terrorists.

I searched but could not find a previous post from someone here stating the very real posibility of CIA sending incriminating e-mails to individuals which would lead to an arrest of opposing views.

Not a very big step from when Germany discreetly arrested and killed millions while the masses thought it was just a "conspiracy" because of media control, etc...

I wonder if next time protesters etc, will have incriminating e-mails leading to their discreet arrests....not much of a step from the point we got to now...

If you put a frog in a pot of water and slowly turn up the heat the frog will not notice the slow and gradual changes...

in fact the frog will be oblivious to the slow and steady changes and stay inside the pot...

the frog will not notice the changes to the point where it will actually stay in the pot until it is too late and it is cooked...

are Americans the frogs....

This quote from history seems to be fitting in this thread...direct quote from Germany's Propaganda Minister...

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State."

It certainly feels like one. I can't remember the last time I could walk down the street without worrying that I would be arrested for no reason and thrown into the Gulag. So many of my friends were taken.

"The key to a successful argument is to quote something really cool or awful said by a famous dude who was either really cool or awful. It will be considered gold, man. Plus, no matter what anyone says, it is more than likely not many people had the same idea as you nor used the same quote you just did!"-Fiddytree

I promised to not get into it, so I'll just say : read the transcript NOT the news report.

The PATRIOT Act wasn't signed into law by a President from the Democratic Party.
Obama's signed the :
- Healthcare act
- Give act
- Bank "reform" act
- auto industry deal

Ok... you like those all cause your democrat... but if Bush passed them you could use the same defense... Bush passed the baton and the keys to the presidential toilet with olympic athlete relay race team caliber passing skills and Obama's run with Bush's agenda. Think about that... If you hated Bush for the reason that you're saying, then you hate bush cause he wasn't DOING ENOUGH. Meaning, he was doing the RIGHT THINGS, just NOT ENOUGH. Think about that.

It was implied with the last part of your post... like saying 'democrats wouldn't have signed the patriot act'...

If it wasn't your intent, my misunderstanding.

Oh no. I am quite well aware that a majority of the Congressional Democrats supported the PATRIOT Act. I think the Democrats are just as culpable as the Republicans are.

But it is disingenuous to say that the reason why we're becoming more of a police state is because of the Democrats - the Republicans had just as much to do with it. That was the criticism I had to that particular post.

In my view, there are Democrats that are just as much as pieces of authoritarian **** as there are Republicans that are pieces of authoritarian ****.

Ok, now that makes sense... finally people are starting to get it.

It's not the president that has the power, it's the white house that contains the power, the president just animates it.
