Yeah, the latest numbers from the Census Bureau show Trump's economic plans delivered: higher incomes - particularly for lower wage earners, women and minorities, lowest unemployment rates in memory, fewer below poverty rate and much, much more.

Just a few highlights:

Median household income reaches all-time high: In 2019, median household income shot up 6.8%, the biggest annual increase since at least 1967. To understand how impressive this is, consider that the next biggest increase was 5% in 2015, which came after five years of declines. (When Barack Obama left office, median household income was essentially where it was back in 2000.) From 1967 to 2018, the average annual increase was a mere 0.6%.

Lower-income families gained the most. Despite the endless chants about how President Donald Trump’s policies benefited only the rich, the truth is that lower-income families made the biggest gains in his first three years in office.

The bottom fifth of households saw their incomes climb 10% under Trump. Those in the next fifth saw incomes rise more than 9%.

The top 5% of households saw their share of total income drop.

And:

Not that you’d ever know it from the media blackout, but households have seen the biggest jump in real median income in at least 52 years. The poverty rate is lower than it’s been since at least 1959, the annual Census report on income and poverty shows.

Poverty plunged. From 2017 to 2019, nearly 6 million people escaped poverty, driving the poverty rate down to 10.5% by 2019. That’s lower than it’s been since at least 1959. In fact, since 1959, the poverty rate has averaged 14%. Among blacks, the poverty rate dropped to 18.8%, also the lowest since at least 1959. Among Hispanics, it dropped from 18.3% to 15.7%, the lowest since at least 1972.

And, much, much, much more . . .

And PLEASE don't spew that nonsensical "he inherited it from Obama" trope - that insults our intelligence and causes questions about yours.

And the economy is in the ****ter right now...what is your point?

This would fall into the category of ... ancient history

Now you didn't really think that this president and his administration would be given their due, did you?

Overall, we rate Issues & Insights Right Biased based on story selection and editorial positions that favor a libertarian/conservative perspective. We also rate them Mixed for factual reporting due to the occasional reliance on poor sources as well as two failed fact checks. (D. Van Zandt 8/12/2020)--https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/issues-insights/

Slightly more reliable than FoxNewsChannel?

Another bull**** thread claiming Trump, single handily, did all these things and is responsible for the greatness... while his fan club enablers drop in to say the disaster since is everyone else’s fault.

Pathetic yet predictable.

The same report with the same results has been reported on many other media. Nice try at deflection.

Not so long as you guys wont also recognize his Failures.

Not really. Had our first "shoot the messenger" attempt - unfortunately his foot get in the way.

Trump inherited the Obama economy which was doing great.
Nope. Obama's last year gasped along at 1.6% GDP growth. Trump's first year he dropped unemployment a full percent. Since than he brought back the manufacturing jobs Obama said were gone for good and saw the stock markets gain 40%. In it's weakened condition it's still employing more people than Obama did through most of his presidency. The linked article makes this a lot clearer.

Presidents usually get too much credit and too much blame for good and bad economics times.

They don’t hold all the cards and it’s far easier to project all problems on to one man than the complexity of the economic system and particularly it’s problems.

The fact of the matter is though, when it comes to healthcare, higher education, housing and quite a few other essentials, those things are becoming more and more out of reach for the average American, ultimately affecting social mobility, ultimately affecting the wealth disparity which grows worse by the day.

Trump supporters can paint a happy dappy picture with raw numbers and create as many false narratives as they like, but the fact remains, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer and while this is actually a global phenomenon, it is particularly severe in what is technically supposed to be the “richest” country in the world... But really isn’t for the vast majority and whatever gains in dollar amounts they may have... it’s buying them less and less.

2019. The last good year in Obama’s run. :(

Remarkable. Greatest presidency in the history of the country.*

*From Jan 2017 - December 2019.

Today’s blue state quote is infuriating but also so stupid. If...his covid numbers would be great if we took out blue states, then how can he take credit for the success? How does that work? How? No culpability for blue, owns all the credit for red.

Nobody is claiming Trump did it "single-handedly".
