Israel's first Muslim minister sworn into office - Yahoo! News

Magadla was nominated by the Labour Party for a ministerial post after one of its members quit the cabinet in protest at the addition of the ultranationalist Yisrael Beitenu faction to Olmert's coalition government in October.

Israeli media said Strategic Affairs Minister Avigdor Lieberman of Yisrael Beitenu was the only cabinet member to vote against the appointment.

In 2001, an Israeli Druze became the first non-Jewish member of the cabinet, serving as a minister without portfolio.

I guess even arabs and jews can get along.

Isn't it customary to give some kind of comment when you start a thread and post an article?

Yeah. It's kind of a weird rule, though; when I post an article, I like to see what others will say about it- about the article (and the issue) itself, not about me and my comment on the article or issue. I like the discussion to start out free of any bias, including mine.
I usually attempt to make some neutral comment such as, "How about that?"
Or, "Your thoughts?"

That seems to suffice.

Fine I'll make one.

Its called a democracy, and something the palestinians could be a part of if they could quit their hatred of jews and live with them instead of wanting to live without them.
