Isn't the confirmation hearing for the purpose of asking the nominee questions?

Democrats just want to opine about their "feelings". They don't want to ask too many questions because they don't want to allow ACB to speak too much and look too good. Some of the democrats have done nothing to advance the knowledge that people have about Barrett but rather to demean the nominee.

It's like the Democrats feel it is necessary to go bugshit and look stupid during Judicial nominee confirmations.

Oh stop whining she will be confirmed, there was no question of that, the Donald wants her and that is that.

The GOP wanted to hold the hearing during the election, so it makes to treat the hearing like there's an election on. The GOP is going after millions of people's health care, ACB is a key component of that strategy, and these sham hearings are a great opportunity to get some airtime before the election to make people aware of the stakes in this election.

Obviously you didn't hear Sen. Lee's question period.
