Isnt is strange that those that want socialism, are the very ones that contribute almost nothing to society. They seem to the the "entitled ones" that want society to give them something for nothing. And---------------if they love socialism so much they could move to a socialist country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is no one advocating for pure socialism in the US, so as usual, your comments are pure bull****. Your comments are, additionally and as usual, quite uneducated.

I was going to dismiss your post as complete stupidity... then I got to your 20th exclamation point and it made me realize how right you were. /s

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Anyway, the thing to remember about Socialism is that it isn't about "free stuff". It's about political power. It's about state supremacy over the people. It's about using government as a way to force the citizens into a specific ideological mold and it's about insuring that ALL citizens conform to that mold. The "free stuff" part is just to keep the people generally content while they are being subjugated.

Think of it this way, "We believe that everyone should have unrestricted access to ice cream because everyone likes ice cream. We expect those with the ice cream to provide their goods to the community as directed and believe that they will do so willingly and enthusiastically. If, for some reason, they choose not to provide their goods to the community we will take those goods from them and punish them for their failure to conform to what is good and proper"

What "socialists" are you referring to?

Yes, five or six exclamation points is normal. But over ten means you are really serious.

why even answer such stupidity?

Meantime it is the hard working red states that get the tax monies to help their low life standard of living taken from the lazy entitled economic giants, the blue states.

I counted. He hit 21. Therefore I have to believe him.

Nah. What I find strange is that no one has ever been able to come up with a decent instant coffee.

Socialism is a system where the government pretends to meet the needs and wants of the people and, in return, the people pretend to work for the government. What country would you recommend as being the perfect Socialist model?

IDK I almost believed the exclamation points, but then I realized he didn't go all caps or enlarge the font size, so clearly it's fake news.

This should be an intellectually stimulating thread

Isn't it strange that the red States contribute more to the US Treasury than they get back and red States take more from the US Treasury then they give?

Typo?

We are (in part) a socialist country. No need to move. I write from the waiting room of a doc who will be paid by socialist Medicare, having arrived in a car whose construction is regulated by the government, on a highway built by it, communicating with you through a medium that has some government regulation. I will go home and pick up mail delivered by the socialist post office which mail may include my socialist security check.

And of course, I worked for 40 years and contributed to capitalism and socialism both.

Greece tried, but went bankrupt.

Edit : the citizenry all worked for the gubment, yet no one paid taxes.

So true. South Carolina takes the most percentage wise.

Yeah, just like it's strange how the wealthy elite who benefit the most from unregulated capitalism spent a lot of money and effort to protect the status quo.

It's almost like people in general are pretty selfish and mostly just want what's best for themselves. Crazy huh?

No one? So if I point out one single example that disproves that absolute claim you'll backtrack your insults? Or will it be more dishonest goalpost moving from the likes of you?

False, government spending on medicare is not socialism. Socialism is characterized by social ownership and democratic control of the means of production.

So what is someone is advocating for socialism. Why is that a bad thing?

Good point. It should be all capitalized if the person really believed what was being said.

No one in office is advocating for PURE 100% socialism, you know the people that actually MAKE laws. Sad that you have to be told that EXACTLY instead of using common sense. Anymore idiotic comments from you?
