Many are critical of the effect that fundamental Islam immigration is having on Europe et al. Is it a threat or benign?

So is the reality (agenda-plot)that is there an insidious invasion by all means then by becoming subversive 5th columnists in non Islamic countries?

I think a lot of Islamist live in very poor, corrupt countries which are a testament to what happens when people become totally dependent on the government. Over population and lack of resources like plentiful potable water, land for farming, and quality housing cause people to be desperate. I do not think Islam is any better or worse as a religion than most any other mainstream religion. When you have desperate, poorly educated people clinging to their Quran, those people can be misled and manipulated more easily with carrots and sticks as their worldview is myopic, to say the least.

That said, if by "Islamist" you mean people who are Muslim, then they are no more a threat than Russians or Chinese in the long term, and maybe less so. If you mean radical Muslims, then obviously no they are not benign. It is just a matter of how does the global community combat radicalism without becoming persecutors.

Islam as a religion is indeed no better or worse than any other mainstream religion.

But the term "Islamist" refers to devotees of Political Islam, a perversion of the religion to serve an abominable political ideology whose followers deserve no more respect than Nazis. Since the goal of all Islamists is to enslave the world or become martyrs for the cause, the humane course of action for us to take is to provide the Egyptian military with whatever resources they need to help the poor suckers in the street achieve their goal of martyrdom.

Most Islam is benign... there is a threat though with the Stealth Jihad. Muslims specifically out to create Islamic states, to disrupt Western Society, etc. They are business men and Imams. They use legal means. They are smart and dedicated. They are a threat.
