Clearly Islam doesn't = terrorism. However obviously there are islamic groups supporting terrorism. Not exactly a yes/no or true/false type question.

So if I understand correctly, a "Yes" vote means "No it does not support terrorism" and a "No" vote means "Yes it does support terrorism." Is that correct?

IMO, Islam has NOT made any all out honest effort to "clean its house"...Any more so than the Catholics have cleaned their house of sexual-offenders several years ago..
Until Islam does this and decides to live in peace with others; I'd say they do in fact support the terrorists..

I will be explaining at length in the current True Debates session why I feel that Islam is a breeding ground for terrorism.

That is not to say that all Muslims are violent. Of course not!

What I am referring to is the basic tenets of the Muslim faith as written in the Qu'ran. The Qu'ran has no separation of Church and State and time after time calls for violence against non-Muslims. Consider the following quotes from the Qu'ran:

"Slay the pagans wherever you find them." 2:190
"God's curse be upon the infidels." 2:89
"Theirs shall be a woeful punishment." 2:175
"Say to the unbelievers: ' You shall be overthrown and driven into Hell-an evil resting place!' "3:12

There are countless passages like this in the Qu'ran with very little to offset the holy call to arms against the West.

I think it depends on what one means by "Islam."

If we're referring to the literal word of the Qu'ran, Islam most definitely supports what we would consider terrorism. The Old Testament of the Bible does the same.

If we're referring to what the dominant theology of present-day Islam is like, Islam most definitely supports terrorism because the moderate imams are marginalized at best.

If we're referring to what the majority of Muslims actually believe, it gets a bit more sketchy. Since most of them live in unfree countries, it's very difficult to conduct accurate opinion polling. From the few polls that have been conducted to gauge the feelings of Muslims around the world, al-Qaeda definitely has a sizeable minority (if not an outright majority) approving of its actions. But it's hard to tell if these are accurate.

My opinion is that the terrorist use Islam to lure suckers into their cause.If you think about it they have a religious wing,political wing and militant wing.Each one of those wings serve a porpuse of luring people into their cause.The religious and political wing is to lure and con suckers into their militant wing.

Liberalism is use a similar method, they use their religious and politcal wings to lure and con people into lowering thier morals so that they will eagerly accept liberalism.
