Many call Nazism a cult too.
Howdy MMC :2wave: there you go again.
But this shift in language used to discuss terrorism predates the Obama administration. In May 2008, UPI reported that "U.S. officials are being advised in internal government documents to avoid referring publicly to al-Qaida and other terrorist groups as Islamic or Muslim, and not to use terms like jihad or mujahedin, which "unintentionally legitimize" terrorism."

Nice try Monte. He brought UP Iraq.....are you saying the Bush Jr didn't know what to call Saddam and the Baathists?
Oh, and do I need to take you back further to those Clinton Days again? :2razz:
President Hosts Iftaar Dinner
Remarks by the President at Iftaar Dinner
State Dining Room
• "Islam is a vibrant faith. Millions of our fellow citizens are Muslim. We respect the faith. We honor its traditions. Our enemy does not. Our enemy doesn't follow the great traditions of Islam. They've hijacked a great religion."
Our last President bought into the concept of "Nation Building".
Google "PNAC nation building". Take a look at who made up the PNAC and what is actually behind the concept. Pretty sick ****...
This is how Bush described the enemy.
Yet due to the way BO has describe them.....this has caused more problems with our own people and allies. Which now even the MS media and the lefts writers are all picking up on it and pointing this out.
It seems nothing has been learned if Barrack Obama is preaching the same crap about islam as did George Bush. Surely what was said then should have been clarified by now when the truth has become more apparent. Not to mention that Jeb Bush was one of the original signers in the PNAC. Can you believe that he is actually going to be the nominee? Have we learned nothing?
So it was ok for GW Bush to say that the terrorists have hijacked Islam but when Obama says it it's a problem. Your partisanship.is showing.

No doubt those inhabitants of Khan al Baghdadi provoked the ISIS fighters into doing this. Couldn't they have at least tried to be nice? I admit burning people alive sounds a little extreme, but we have to realize how disrespected and invalidated the ISIS people must have felt. When our inner child is abused, it's only natural that we lash out with violence. We saw much the same thing in Paris, where those mean Charlie Hebdo people invalidated Muslims everywhere by mocking the Prophet Mohammed.
We Americans are guilty of making Muslim jihadists do violent things, too, as Mr. Obama's preacher, Jeremiah Wright, reminded us. We provoked Al Qaeda into 9/11, as he noted: "America, your chickens have come home to roost." Professor Ward Churchill also reminded Americans that we brought 9/11 on ourselves, when he noted that the people who worked at the World Trade Center were "little Eichmanns." That is, they got their comeuppance for helping the American capitalist system oppress the less developed world. I'm sure Mr. Obama, with his anti-colonial Muslim roots, agrees.
These jihadists are people just like us. If we would all just try to understand their feelings as Muslims, and show them how nice we are, instead of acting like modern-day Crusaders, I'm sure they would want to live in harmony. But instead, just the other day, when a delegation of a couple dozen ISIS members came to the Al Asad airbase, presumably to dialogue about the misunderstandings between us, the belligerent, cowboy response was to attack and kill them! This hating and bloodshed will go on in a never-ending cycle until we Americans learn that violence never solves anything, and that an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.
No, what I'm saying, and demonstrated in the supplied documentation, is that it was learned during the latter part of the Bush administration that such terminology is COUNTER PRODUCTIVE, and proved at the same time that you are more interested in scoring points, then actually participating in solutions, with your constant partisan drivel, all the while ignoring that every time you point at Obama, three fingers are pointing at Bush, because both parties are culpable in failed US foreign policy in the ME. But continue on blaming everything wrong in the ME on Obama, immature as it is, I know you will.
He was being sarcastic, doing the usual liberal schtick. Did a fine job too! It captures their essence well!Yes and we give them all a puppy all will be well. kissy-kissy..............send your resume to the state department.
They seem happy to compare Barrack Obama to George Bush despite feeling at one time that Bush was an idiot. Now, because Obama is following in his footsteps, they are saying it gives him credibility.Except for one fact Monte.....while you complain about partisan drivel. Already knowing all politics is partisan except when it is Bipartisan. Its not me that's all caught up into the past, and not dealing with whats in the moment. In the here and now!
See Monte anything that's a fact about Bush Jr.....is in the past. None of that **** from then pertains to whats going on now. Its not dealing with who, the what, the where, and the why.....that's happening now, and has increased all Under BO Beep. His Policies.....his ideas.....his thoughts......Now and when he started 6 years ago. So if you want to chime in how BO even made things worse than what Bush Jr and the Neo Cons did. You can begin and start now rather than try to minimalism anything about BO peep.

You mean Bush changing the language and expunging jihad and Islamic extremists doesn't matter? Like I said above, carry on.

Odd bunch, those leftists!
Again, did you want to go back to Clinton days Monte. See it just goes Right back around to where all the festivities began and amped-up. So that reasoning of looking to talk about what Bush said.....doesn't change what BO peep is saying now.
What happened. That circular logic lead you to nowhere again?
They can use the "Crusade card" all they want. The world has seen more then enough examples of their brutality to shrug off that "Crusade" crap and cheer us on.
I'm more than happy to discuss Clinton, remember, I'm the one that isn't afraid to acknowledge wrong doing anywhere I see it, you on the other hand can only see it when its blue. Did you want to point out a Clinton failure for me?
Yes and we give them all a puppy all will be well. kissy-kissy..............send your resume to the state department.
Yet, you just can't keep talking about BO's failures.....seems a bit to much for ya to focus on, huh? I mean that would mean having to talk about all the different areas all connected to this issue.
Which that would be to much to handle.....huh? But it okay to do so with Bush Jr, Right. Your go to guy, huh?
or at least to cheer on fellow Muslims who are willing to fight ISIS.
You can be coy dude, even dishonest if you can't handle true debate, but 40 years of failed USFP have brought us where we're at, and the real pity is that blind partisans such as your self, and the blind partisans on the left making excuses for Obama, insure that things will get worse not better.
Well, I have been cheering on the Kurds who are on the ground, Egyptians going after ISIS in the Sinai and Libya and the Jordanians trying to up their game.
Which that doesn't count Assad and Hizbollah in Syria with Iran killing them too.
