Labor is trying to paint him as being sexist, but I largely think its just political spin.

Thoughts?

Abbott has far more serious character faults than just being sexist.

The media and the government is using this tactic to detract away from Prime Minister Gillard's incompetency and dishonesty

Like the USA, Australians are given a choice between two identical corporate clown puppets.

If you criticise Obama, youre onvioulsy racist
If you cirticise a female leader then youre sexist
If you criticise Israel then youre anti-semetic
If you criticise capitalism, then youre obviously a derranged Marxist
If you criticise anything the US perpetrates on the international stage with its criminal military forces, then youre obvioulsy Anti-American, Unpatriotic and a terrorist sympathiser

you get the drift

No I don't think so. The position of the ALP is currently behind feminist, green and homosexual agendas. All of which are unusualy left wing, even for Labour.

Mr Abbott is being critisised, for the most part, for holding a conservative Christian position. Other aspects of Ms Gillards claims have more to do with the statements of others, then of Mr Abbott personally. He is accussed of not actively suppressing such attacks against the PM. Such as Alan Jones' "died of shame" comment. The "ditch the witch" banner. The "Bob browns b**ch" banner. Mr Abbott is a traditional conservative, perhaps moderately sexist, but is hardly misogynist.

I would interpret Ms Gillards speech as emotional hyperbole.
