"Boring"? Curiosity is what moves humanity to the future:

LEARN FROM THE PAST; LIVE IN THE PRESENT
and PLAN FOR THE FUTURE.

The same thing when gas runs out, and/or when it is too expensive to move on. Tune ups, oil changes are not required in an E Car.

Nothing wrong with curiosity unless you are a CAT 😼
Again, what happens when the electricity is out? You are caught on the road and it's sub-freezing temperatures without gasoline? Same in your home? These are things that happen is parts of the country every year. If you are actually planning for the future.

Well, we live in the SF Bay Area (California and not in the mountains). My wife was born and raised in Wisconsin, she has two sisters. Her parents moved to CA., one sister moved to Houston, and the younger sister moved to Tampa. I wonder why anyone would live in the far north. High humidity in the summer, fidget cold in the winter.

A. Dig a very deep hole, toss in a couple of dinosaurs, cover them in dirt and wait for a millennium or sixty-two.
