What is the 'liberal agenda' exactly?
No, they worked together on one issue. Then they decided to try to repeal the ACA dozens upon dozens of times. They knew it wasn't going to happen, but they wanted to put on a show. It sure wasn't working together like adults. House Republicans instead chose to act like petulant children.
Are you kidding?

:agree: Calling half the people in this country his "enemies," - and he was referring to Republicans - because they didn't agree with him, sure set a fine example for a POTUS who is supposed to represent all the people, as he swore when he took the Oath of office. The Oath also states that he will, to the best of his ability, "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."
He seems to have a bit of a problem with both parts of the Oath, unfortunately.
Greetings, tres borachos. :2wave:

We should expect they work for the whole country. I know, that's too much to ask anymore.
Believe it or not, patriotism should come before partisanship.
Petulant children?
If you want to see what petulant children really look like you'd have to look at the Democrats in the Wisconsin state senate who fled to Illinois and hid out to try to prevent the GOP majority in the WI state legislature from passing legislation that they didn't like.
That was truly a sickening display of disrespect for the democratic process. That would have been like the GOP members of Congress hiding out in Canada when the time came to vote on Obamacare.
Shameful.

So you didn't have any problem Romney insulting 47%. Oh right, as long as it is the half that you don't care for
By the way, please provide a link where Obama is calling half the people in this country his "enemies"
blah blah blah
I suppose if you look for racism everywhere you go you will find racism everywhere you go.
By the way, according to the poll most of the people on this thread believe it's not racist.
You mentioned the re-election in your post. I asked if they were working together before the re-election. Obama and the other party.
Congressional reps are elected by their constituents. Not all of the constituents who sent the House Republicans to DC think Obama and his policies are swell.
Really? You can't think of something better to respond with than that? Perhaps you could start another thread and ask the question there.

I don't find it racist, just extremely disrespectful especially for a fourth of July parade.

To be totally bipartisan, we could also mention the high-ranking Democrats who also feel the same way, judging from their recent criticism of his policies!
Unfortunately, Romney wasn't planning on unintelligent people hearing his words during a private meeting with supporters.
As I am sure has been explained a thousand times, he was only rightfully trying to insult those people who are Obamabots and wouldn't change their vote under any circumstances. Kind of a why waste resources comment.
Not quite as damning as Obama's "cling to bibles and guns" insult he made during the campaign in '08.
unintelligent people?
I believe the proper term is low information voters.
Senator Dianne Feinstein has been very vocal in her criticism of Obama.
Obama invited the divide.
Well said Glen. This nonsense of promoting racism while pretending it isn't is a tired old game racists have been playing for decades.Which just goes to show your ignorance. I'm sorry, guy, but you just don't realize how bad it has been, how bad it is to this day. It's not as bad is it once was, but anyone who thinks that racism is as bad in the north as in the Deep South either has never lived there or is being disingenuous.
See, that's the problem, guy. You are an educated individual, and as such you see what I do - you know very well why it's racist. It was built by those who knew that the black community would see that as a racist attack, but they built it anyway. That makes it racist.
But you want to pretend that it's not racist. And you would be RIGHT if you were showing the picture of that float to anyone who had no clue about American race relations and the role racism has played in American history. Problem is, you're NOT showing the picture to those who are ignorant of American race relations or the role racism has played in our history.
To put it another way, if you went to, say, Nepal, and called the locals n***ers to their faces, they probably wouldn't blink an eye - they would not understand the history of or the offense presented by that word...but if you say that word here, those hearing it would receive a whole different meaning.
Problem is, you KNOW all this - you KNOW that the photo is in and of itself NOT racist to those who don't have a clue about American race relations, and you KNOW that the float would obviously be seen as racist by most Americans. You can pretend otherwise all you want...but most people see right through your claims...including those who agree with you, who think that you and they are the only ones who understand what the dog whistle's actually saying.
