Is the US still the "Leader of the Free World"? I doubt Canada or Europe would see the US anyone worth following at the moment, why should the US be a leader over Canada or Europe?

Can the United States be called/asked - is it the leader of the Western world? Or is he the leader of the most immodest world?

But what does freedom have to do with it?

The United States has more people in prison than any other country on the planet. In the United States, police officers kill more people in the line of duty than in any other country on the planet. And this is just a few things that can be remembered, which speaks about the country from the position of a police state, with the highest level of distrust of state institutions towards citizens.
Why did you even decide that you are or were once the leader of the free world?
 
Sometimes I wonder if we're even a member of the free world, given the left's obsession with rules and stifling of speak.

If America is considered the leader of the free world, it should give that title up and let some other country take the crown. I think China already has more of the world's population under its umbrella anyway. That title means placing the rest of the world as a priority and not America. I say America has suffered enough from globalism and needs to finally take care of its own myriad problems rather than wasting time AND MONEY on everyone else's. Let Canada do it.

There was a time when America enforced Pax Americana to the benefit of most in the world. This has been deteriorating for a generation, and has been obliterated by Trump.

Rebuttal is like this…Kennedy wants to implement many new rules mandating what food manufacturers can put in their products. OR Trump is trying to stifle free speech by sending a letter dated March 13, from federal officials in the U.S. Education Department, Department of Health and Human Services and General Services Administration demanded Columbia place its Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies Department under "academic receivership for a minimum of five years," requiring them to create a full plan to do so by March 20. The letter didn't explain why this department was targeted for an academic receivership.
