Sorry, it's a bit of a quibble, but one of the points of the story is that Frodo didn't throw the ring into the fire.
Is Game of Thrones racist?

Why would it be?
Frodo changed his mind and claimed the ring for himself. That's when Gollum leaped on him and bit his finger and the ring off in the ensuing struggle.Technically, you are correct. Froto finally made it to Mount Doom, and while attempting to throw the ring away, Golum bit Froto's finger off while trying to get the ring for himself, then fell into the lava, and he and the ring were destroyed. Froto did what he was supposed to do, and the ring was destroyed. That's what we were all cheering about!
Greetings, Grand Mal. :2wave:

I think people like to read a lot more into things than what is actually there sometimes.
Game of Thrones is supposed to be roughly based on the War of the Roses in Medieval England (York vs Lancaster changed into Stark vs Lannister).
Interesting, I didn't know that. So I take it then that the Yorks spent that whole war dying?
For the record, by that point Frodo had been overcome by the Ring and had decided to keep it for himself. Gollum fought him for it, bit Frodo's finger off with the Ring, and fell into the lava.eace

According to the book.
I think Jack and I were typing at the same time. :lol:I know...sorry I didn't recall correctly.
Greetings, radcen. :2wave:
I stand corrected. I should have remembered that, because it was so shocking after all he had been through.
Why would it be?
It was just something that popped into my mind when I saw the picture of Littlefinger.
Who knows? Why would Lord of the Rings be racist?
So, people, what do you think?
What's your feeling about that?eace
why would it be racist? I do not get the basis behind the question in the first place.
Nobody saw it as a racist movie here and the same when John Rhys-Davies was suddenly poster-boy for the BNP after saying 'Are we willing to be part of a Muslim-controlled Europe?'
I hope this can answer your question.

The retarded crippled kid is an Asian and the Toby who shovels **** in the barn is black... does that work?
I agree. Whenever I see him in anything anymore I think Matrix. Even something as awesome in its own right as LotR.
You clearly didn't grow up repeatedly watching The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.
