There's no law against "attempting to undermine the government" under false pretense (whatever that means) or openly. If there were an editorial in a newspaper, for example, or a protest march that criticized the President or anyone or anything else in the government would be suspect. To be blunt, you don't know what you're talking about.
 

That's correct. There is no such law, not yet, not in the USA. There are many countries around the world in which criticism of the government is a crime. I'm quite sure that there are citizens of our free country who would impose such laws on us if they could.
