Schultz says he is going to run for president as an independent rather than as a Dem. He says he is not trying to get Trump re-elected, but he must know he is doing just that. why would he do so, maybe the same reason that all wealthy men will probably back Trump, MONEY. Schultz has said that he is against the new young progressive Dems because he is against raising taxes on the wealthy, like him. He knows he has no chance of winning, but his run will syphon off votes from the Dems, which will help Trump win again. He only has to look at Jill Kline, the woman who ran as the Green Party candidate after eating a meal with Putin in Russia, to know how a few votes can lose a candidate an election. this is especially true if those votes come in specific states like they did for Kline.

Like Perot did for Bill Clinton...TWICE.

Sorry, meant Jill Stein, not Kline.

Perot got Clinton elected and Nadar got W Bush elected. Stein may have gotten Trump elected.

The leftwing MSM will never allow Schutz's campaign to get off the ground.

Maybe Trump made Schultz an offer he couldn't refuse.

That would be Jill Stein. She sat at the same table as Putin and Flynn.

You are thinking of Jill Stein, not Kline. And, Schultz didn't say he was going to run. He said if he runs he will run as an independent and that he didn't like the far left candidates. Many other Democrats don't like the far left candidates either. I believe Schultz will only run if a far left Socialist wins, in which case, he will be the centrist candidate and if Trump can win, why couldn't he? Many are against Trump and many are against Socialist candidates. It's not so far fetched. Simple Solution: The left should nominate a moderate candidate, in which case Schultz wouldn't run and the vote would then not be split.
