Some things should be secret, or are you of a mind that President Obama should have anounced that he was sending in Seal Team 6?
About the sorry assed poll I don't know how to creat (in post #1), any vote or comment?eace
Some things should be a secret eh? That type of thinking leads open societies to become closed. Nice of you to use the Seal Team 6 reference. We should have killed Osama bin Laden when we had the chance many years ago. We probably should have informed Pakistan in some sort of way that we were going to go and get him. Instead, we decided to invade a sovereign nation which ended up having one of our covert Black Hawks crash land. It was good that we got him, but the way we went about it was not right. We cannot continue to think that we can go into any country we want and capture anyone. That is dangerous thinking and it will endanger our National Security more then protect it.
As for your original questions. Nobody can be the new Joseph McCarthy. McCarthy labeled every supposed enemy of his as communist. He was delusional paranoid that spread nothing but propaganda. All Eric Holder needs to do (if he is innocent as he claims) is release the document. End of story. If you have nothing to fear then why are you hiding things?
I gave my opinion. all documents should be released so I support Issa on this issue. it was one of your first responses, you are welcome
Thanks for patroling my thread, now do you want to answer the questions in the OP?eace
Joe spent a great deal of time developing his reputation and becoming one of the main the focuses of American politics, with liberals and fellow-travelers carrying his importance after his fall from the spotlight and death. You're talking about Issa in a similar fashion way too soon, where he has far less attention at this moment. I can only conclude that you are overreaching in order to taint Issa in a method similar to what many did by constantly referring to Chamberlin and appeasement.
Through the kindness of Serenity, the poll is up. Many Thanks...:2wave:
Now I hope to get some action on it, thanks to all who have played so far. J.P.eace
I didn't vote in the poll. Rep Issa is a watery fart right now, not yet worthy of a comparison to McCarthy or a permanent stain of our history.
Well there are various levels of "doing something stupid".If doing 'something stupid' is grounds from removing from governmental service....
well most of many past administrations would be empty from the Commander in Chief's seat on down.
Fact is past administrations have withheld information many on the other side of the aisle not to mention many concerned citizens.
Now about the potential for Rep Issa to make it to McCarthy/**** stain on history. I never say never but I just see our little pooper making it to the big time. Could be wrong about the guy but he just doesn't have that old time religion burn deep in the belly to grandstand with over the top poses for TV.
He reminds me more of an anal-retentive accountant who wants just keeps picking on your last nerve but never enough backbone to truly push the issue.
Will be interesting to see if he will put on his big boy pants and try to go toe to toe.
Issa asked for documents. He's well within his right to ask for them. They haven't been delivered. He's not backing down from what he wants. How does this equate to dragging the country down into the muck?
If there's nothing to hide, then why use Executive Privilege? Let them see what they want to see. It seems simple enough.
Evil is a strong word. Why is Issa evil in your view?
