Agreed.

, the police won't harm you unless you threaten them or make make threatening action, and if you feel discriminated against in a police encounter, please call this 1-800 number hot line and report it, and we'll look into it.

This has to be one of the most naive posts in the history of DP.

those sorts of lies will happen...

You mean holding up a guy who apparently committed multiple felonies, including carjacking, attempted homicide, and armed robbery as a poster child for police brutality when he steps in front of a police cruiser during a pursuit and ends up pushing daisies? Yeah, **** happens. :lamo Just don't be surprised when NO ONE BELIEVES them or CARES TO HEAR any more about it. Crying wolf is unfortunate for any real victims out there.

but really you just made my point with your obfuscatiuon

How did pointing out that BLM needs to stop trying to engender sympathy with dumb criminals who can't seem to follow simple instructions obfuscate your point?

Barrack Obama doesn't care about white people...
I doubt if this is true - totally . If I were in his shoes, his skin , I'd feel the same .. We DO have a lot of scum here at home .. Check our the right wing sites .. Talk with a few people -directly .. How many of us support Trump ...

Anybody that takes the side of one group and throws the other under the buss is going to be divisive. That is including our president.

Part of the job of every president is to keep us united and moving toward the final goal, "E Pluribus Unum." Because he is an anarchist, a socialist and a communist, our president has as his stated goal breaking us into many disparate splinter groups. By acheiving that goal, he will weaken us, not only to our adversaries, but to ourselves. By pitting brother against brother, it will be easier for him to divide and conquer. Only someone who is likeminded could support such a destructive strategy. With all the support he seems to enjoy here at DP, can we assume that our halls are brimming with radical Anti-Americans? Do they want Barack Hussein Obama to continue to promote his belief in systemic racism? Do they want him to succeed?

I see, so there's only "right wing scum"?

this thread is a bunch of whites not wanting to be honest about racism.

Racism is very real. It exists in every socio-economic group, in every part of this country, and there are racists in all of the races. What does that have to do with Obama's words being harmful or helpful?

you should read a quote before you quote it

I did read it. I quoted it. You said "this thread is a bunch of whites not wanting to be honest about racism." The thread is about Obama, not a bunch of "whites".

incorrect, I just described the true intent of the thread.

I can't read the OP's mind. Perhaps you can.

The content of the OP is not only legitimate, it's actually being discussed in the media. Repeatedly.

I acknowledge racism exists. There are white racists, black racists, Hispanic racists, and so on. You can't turn on the television the last few days without hearing about it. Racist cops who kill black men, racist shooters who kill white cops.

Now, have Obama's comments (I'll change it from "rhetoric" to make it benign) been harmful or helpful?

Meh. Blacks already had victim status, the seeds were sown long before Obama held any office. Much of it now has been brought out out increased media attention to unwarranted black killings more so than Obama.

a gross over simplification

yes, the OP is certainly biased and prejudicial. Obamas comments have been just fine. those that insist on racism will find them harmful. Those that oppose him will find them harmful.

So you don't actually want to discuss the issue. Okay, fair enough. Maybe someone will come along who wants to critically analyze the impact of Obama's words, since the words of the leader of the free world are important.

there is no issue except as what is made up by the right and that sort of issue is just garden variety politics.

The only reason Compton was black before the Hispanics took over is because the blacks ran the whites out of there. It had been a nice community in the 50's before blacks moved in. I doubt if there's one previously white city in America that turned black, that hasn't experienced this. Racist? Nope. Realist. Unfortunately our politicians and most democrats don't have a clue.

I can't agree that Blacks "ran" whites out of Compton. Like most cities, as time goes by, the demographics change. In my experience this is due to changes in employment opportunities, or housing price changes as a city ages. Eventually, a city hits some low point, and if economics prevail, the course is reversed.

In the case of Compton, housing prices lowered as homes aged and became less desirable. This opened up the community for people of lower income levels. Where do people who are illegal go to hide? They go where they can afford to given their off the grid lifestyle. That would be to cities like Compton, Lynnwood, Paramount, and others. Illegal aliens are pushing out blacks, and taking jobs in their communities.

Census Data, and the BEA confirm this result. And liberal/Socialist Progressives are encouraging these damaging results in Black Communities, and in fact are promoting more of it to take place via their open borders agenda.

What is the plan to keep Blacks quiet while expecting them to support the left at the same time? Is the thinking they won't figure out what is going on?

How many of us support Trump ...

If they are any race other than black?

All that I've spoken to.

(Adult aged(out of college) Muslims, Jews, Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Arabs, Koreans, Whites -- just to give you a sample of the demographics)
