I won't comment on whether pregnancy and babies are gross, however Omni did make a good point: it is in women's nature to want to care for babies. And this instinct is so strong, that women are willing to put up with poop, crying, and all the rest.

Real stalkers get punished by law. I am not sure what happens to women who falsely accuse, though.
