Watch the video posted and decide if you think he's in front of a green screen or not. If you don't care, you obviously don't need to answer the poll. :)

I'm going to chip my vote in for "Why does this matter either way?"

Of course its faked, there's no teleprompter!

LOL Why would he need a green screen? Nature does look like that and is found everywhere. But I suppose some people in the concrete jungles wouldn't know about that.

Where was that speech given, by the way? It would be easy to find out if that is the natural scenery in that location.

Why would he be?

No he's not and let me give you a technical answer why. If you let the entire video load, and jump around with your mouse to different area's, you'll see that the background lighting on the trees get's lighter and darker. Now, that doesn't automatically mean it's not a green screen - it just means that the background is not a static picture - it could be a moving video shot that is running on the green screen. However, also look at Obama's head, forehead and podium the lighting also changes with the background (there are probably lights facing him as well so the give away is the side and top of his head and shoulders). So I don't think he's in front of a green screen.

Why would it matter if it was a green screen? Are politicians forbidden to use special effects or something?

I'm waiting for his to pull a rabbit from a hat:mrgreen:

If he's giving a weather report, then yes. Otherwise, no.

Who said it really mattered? I was just curious since it looks a little odd to me.

Interesting.... I had no idea what to look for to know if it was a green screen or not.

Since I could click and drag him out of the way, I'm going to say yes.
