Is Hoe Manchin a racist and is that the reason why he opposes so many of the Democratic goals of Biden's administration?

Stumbling block: how West Virginia politics explains Joe Manchin

In fact, examining West Virginia’s Democratic politics shows that Manchin’s undermining of Biden’s efforts, especially around voting rights, should have been entirely expected.

Manchin’s opposition to the For the People Act, a bill that aims to expand voting rights and reduce the influence of money in US elections, has angered Black Americans across the country. But earlier this year, West Virginia’s all-white Democratic party leaders submitted a draft affirmative action plan to the national party without input or approval from a newly formed affirmative action committee, a group whose membership includes women, people of color and people with disabilities.

Joe Biden shows himself to be more racist than Joe Manchin.

So he doesn't step to the party line all the time and so therefore he has to be smeared as a racist? That's nuts.
It's standard operating procedure with the loony left these days. Support tax relief-you're a racist. Support gun rights-you're a racist. Oppose more dependency on the government-you're a racist Real racists love the fact that the term has been so overused and diluted, it no longer means much any more.

The article given does suggest it is not smearing. The could be some truth in that view.

I read your article about an angry Democrat who got the cold shoulder from West Virginia's state DNC, but except for clumping Manchin with decisions he had nothing to do with, I don't see anything showing Manchin to be racist.

This woman's read of the WV DNC may be spot on, but it's a stretch to attribute it to Manchin; the first thing she 'accuses' him of was a decision by the WV State Legislature, which Manchin is not in. Not a very strong argument here.

I have seen zero evidence that he is making these decisions because he dislikes, or distrusts black people.

You must not have a clue what the word means to call President Biden a racist.
well a racist might claim that bringing black students into the school where his kids attend, would turn the school into a "jungle". A racist might well claim that if a black doesn't vote Democrat, he really isn't black.
Yeah Senile Joe is a racist

He sure fakes it well, though, doesn't he? Who were folks reviling a month or so ago for his saying kind words about George Floyd and inviting his family to the White House? Who just signed Juneteenth into a federal holiday? Who is perpetually being blamed for condoning last year's riots and BLM?

Not a very good racist, I wouldn't say.

as opposed to Trump who was often lauded by black leaders before he ran for president?

lol...when he wasn't being sued for housing discrimination.

Why is it nuts. It has been a reliably tactic for controlling people. Until voters reject people that use that tactic why would they stop using it. Without even reading this thread I can predict the majority if not every progressive participating in this thread all will call him a racist. It's what they do and the target of it normally just panics and falls allover themselves trying to defend from the accusatio.

Manchin is an interesting case because if he feels too outnumbered he may defect to the republicans.

Stick to the point. Not interested in discussing T****.
charges of racism have been so overused that they should be categorically rejected unless there is undeniable proof beyond a reasonable doubt. There exists no such proof concerning Manchin
