But I just finish watching one of my favorite movies "V for Vendetta," and this segment regarding the origins of the "St. Mary's Virus" peaked my "conspiracy-bug."

A crisis would be the dumbest possible way to undermine an election. Keep in mind Biden was already leading in polls before Covid. A crisis like Covid gives a leader an opportunity to demonstrate their ability as a leader. It gives them an opportunity to change the tides of their popularity for the better.

After 9/11 Bush's popularity skyrocketed. He had an 80% approval rating that he used to coast into re-election. Bush didn't even really do anything right. He made terrible choices that lead us into horrible wars we shouldn't have fought. But it gave him an opportunity to look presidential. It gave him a chance to make it look like he genuinely cared. All he had to do was have some photos taken and give a few fiery speeches and boom, four more years.

If Trump would have even pretended to legitimately care about this virus and pretended to act like he was genuinely trying to protect the American people that may have been the thing that got him re-elected. Even if you're crazy enough to think China released this virus China had no control over Trump or America's response. If he would have done his job effectively China could have gotten him a 2nd term.

In short, no. There is a zero % chance China or anyone else manufactured this virus to undermine Trump. That's the dumbest theory I've ever heard.

Just once I wish you could provide a real answer for debate. An appeal to the absurd (it is NOT "possible that pigs...") is not an argument.

I listed the points that suggest is it possible. Couple that with the fact that the incoming Administration is promising to be "China-friendly" by pretty much going back to "business as usual pre-2017." That provided a good motivation for such an action.

Did you bother to READ the OP, or are you just going your own way? I not only provided a video of a Chinese "official" bragging about it, but mentioned both Congressman Swallwell, and the Bidens as examples of likely suspects.

The US is China's best foreign customer. Hurting the US Economy to this extent isn't something they would aim for.
The novel corona virus is not particularly deadly as other viruses other biologicals go. Thinking it was manufactured by a foreign government is silly.
And then you go really crazy with your theory that the the goal of the virus was to create mail-in voting. I don't know what else to call it but flat out stupid--your theory...not you.

My thoughts are that China inadvertantly released the virus trying to compete with the western world in biosciences.. Now of course the self absorbed trump world will somehow think that relates to them but China is a relatively new player that is subject to rookie mistakes, but wiil not by any means admit them.. Kinda like the current American administration
