Is it getting saltier in here, given the last couple weeks of Trump reveals...?

I'm a little new here, so I might not have a good perspective on this, but after a solid two weeks of Trump scandal and other amusements, anyone else feeling like things are a little feistier in here between the Left and the Right? Just seems like the temperature has gone up a few degrees...am I crazy?

The fringe from both ends are holding their hands over their ears, wearing welding goggles and screaming at the top of their lungs!

For those white collar people, you cannot see thru welding goggle without looking at a welding torch....
 

naaaa. When Obama was president many conservatives were getting testy and now the roles have been reversed with Trump. The lesson learned here is that politics is not good for your health. Stress level goes down not watching the MSM or following politics.
 
I've rarely seen DP so civil.
 
People are way too insulting as they are at some alt.left rally, or storming some congressman's town hall meeting!

It's like no one else's ideas count.

No different. Shoe is just on the other foot now is all. Well, except the things Trump is being accused of are things he actually did and are bad for the country while the things the Right accused Obama of doing were just made up fantasies: "Death panels" :lol:

The Right now wants everyone to get along while the Left is taking a page out of the Right's anti-Obama playbook. It's hilarious.
 

Sorry to say this, but the poll choices suck. Don't feel bad though. I screw up ever poll I make here, too.

If it would have been a choice in the poll, I would have voted 'Yes. It has gotten saltier on here.'

That said, there have always been the feverous few bellowing about the D's or R's like the end of the world is coming and "they" are at fault - "they" being who ever is the opposition party. But what I've noticed as of late is that some long term members of normally calm and reflective demeanors have absolutely lost their bloody minds at times. Both some that oppose everything Trump no matter what and some of those that support everything trump no matter what.
 

I haven't noticed things getting even more uncivil than it's already been for the last year, but I have noticed one very specific change in the last few weeks: Trump supporters don't read the OP's or the linked articles anymore. They see the thread title, who posted it, and immediately start blasting away with no thought whatsoever. They admit to not reading the articles.
 
Many things were swept under the carpet -- and in Social Media Era they come out. Internet even played a major role in Civil War in Syria.
 

I'd rate it pretty much the same as before.

All you get from Trumpers these days is either (1) Fake News (2) but Obama! (3) but Hillary!

Trump is indefensible so they engage in Whataboutism. Tiring, banal, and predictable.

Look at it this way...it's a good way to practice anger control and patience. I take comfort in knowing that I planted a seed of truth in their brain and that someday it may grow. It also helps to know that even if they don't read it...someone else will. Just don't give up the good fight.
 

Oh brother, I am a better person for my experience here! I do my homework, research and annotate, double check spelling and grammar and restrain myself from replying to those posters that I've verified cannot read or comprehend basic English composition and will argue endlessly in the face of spoon-fed logic that destroys their position. Try very hard not to stoop to personal observations. Cheers!

It's certainly getting salty in the Montana special election. As it will later this year in UTAH-3, dates announced today.

It was a special election that moved key GOPoliticians against Nixon. I prefer the GOP prolong the agony as long as trump doesn't go beyond rogue .
