Geeeeeeeeze......... another ptsdkid thread.

Half of you poll choices are retarded, because Charles Rangel and other Liberals have in fact spoke out against Chavez for his statements.

I bet you feel like the biggest idiot on the planet eh?

***I just got done listening to Rush Limbaugh play back a few of Rangel's rants against Bush, and each one sounds exactly like Hugo Chavez doing the bashing, in fact, in some cases Rangel sounds more anti American than that commie dictator from Venezula.

Chavez is a dictator. But he's also batshite crazy and raves about Bush being the antichrist and what not so it's easy to confuse his rhetoric with one of our stark raving mad liberals. Some of your crazier liberals are actual fans of Chavez. I think I heard Cindy Sheehan once say she'd rather live under Chavez's rule than Bush's.

And its pathetic her name actually gets mentioned as if she is an elected voice of liberals or something.

She is a dumb *** woman who has the media's attention.
And conservatives love to throw her name in the face of democrats while bashing them.

Ah come on. The poll is obviously stupid. So I was trying to be funny. I don't even know anything about Sheehan other than she seems to be so overwhelmed with grief that she's kind of depressing. But since she did say she'd rather live under Chavez than Bush......it's too good a "set up" not to throw that out there in a such a goof off thread such as this one.

On a more serious note though the dems do need a "face" that is easily recognizable and not so off the wall as Moore, Sean Penn, Babs, The Dixie Chicks, Sheehan, ect.... The fact that they don't have a popular one right now makes it easy for people to associate the more off the wall liberals with liberalism in general.

Someone like Arnold or South Park on your side would do ya all some good. Sadly most Americans as well as the media pay more attention to the popular folks than the actual politicians.

How about Jon Stewart?
He is more of a moderate, which is why I like him.

I like him too. But I don't think any party can claim him. He votes for who he likes but he'll never tell who that mostly turns out to be.

True. He is a comedian. And if there happens in the future to be a democratic president and he decides to make alot of jokes on him, I would understand.

Just like if there was a democrat president, and the media was all over his ***, I would understand too.

People want transparency in the government. Thats why I don't fall for that "liberal media" bullshit.

Funny that nobody mentions that Ann Coulter's crazy bullshit is not much different than Chavez's only from a different angle.

Crazy is crazy. It's not liberal or conservative. It's just crazy.

You should have added a "all of the yes options" option to that poll.

You should have added a "all of the yes options" option to that poll.

Why? it would have been an ignorant load of bull.

Nancy Pelosi and Charlie Rangel both criticized Chavez for his remark.

So, two of those stupid *** answers are already proven wrong.

***Yeah, you are so right James. I thought of that option after I had posted. Isn't it amazing that the libs here can't see how they fit squarely into the camp that supports the Iranian leader, Castro, and Chavez? Lets face it their rhetoric is exactly the same in bad mouthing our president and our country. Once a commie..always a commie!

Hugo Chavez is a liberal to the same degree David Duke is a conservative.

That is what liberals do all the time.So this is true.

Yes, like liberals, he said Bush helped kill poor blacks in New Orleans
Yes, calling Bush a 'devil' equals the libs calling him Hitler
Yes, by calling Bush an imperial dictator
Yes, by saying Bush went to war for the oil

I have heard liberals say all this before. So it is true.

Yes, by not seeing liberal leaders condemn his anti American rhetoric
This is proably partially true because of the few token criticisms made by some rat liberal politicians.

Yes, he's made new friends with liberals John Murtha and Cindy Sheehan

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10704025/
Chavez said Sheehan had invited him to join her April protest at Bush’s Crawford, Texas, ranch. Sheehan, whose 24-year-old soldier son Casey was killed in Iraq in 2004, held a vigil outside Bush’s ranch during the president’s vacation in August, attracting some 12,000 peace activists and reinvigorating the national anti-war movement.

“Maybe I’ll put up my tent also,” Chavez said, to applause from an audience invited to his weekly broadcast on the final day of the World Social Forum, an annual gathering of anti-war and anti-globalization activists.

A. He doesn't allow free speech and criticism of his government, so he is already NOT a liberal.

B. Cindy Sheehan represents her self, and not the views of anyone in the mainstream of any political ideology (unless you call nutcase an ideology).

I am sure if most liberals had it their way actual religios people would not be allowed to speak and vote.

Alt of liberals are like her.Have you heard their nonsense "this war is for oil","this war is to avenge big daddy Bush","This war is to make Cheney's buddies in Haliburton rich",Bush lied","This war is illegal","THis war is for some zionist neocon conspiracy" and so on?

I highly doubt that.

Ive heard it, I just passed it off as maniac rantings of people who got sucked in to an idiot movement. They didn't start off like that, im certain.

If the academic definition of liberal is used then yes, he is a liberal. But his liberalism isn’t going to embody the same values that people who are labeled liberal in the US have.

Also Chavez is not a dictator in the conventional sense, he was democratically elected, and still retains the majority support. Aristotle would say Venezuelans live in a true Democracy, the majority ruling not for the whole, but for the majority at the expense of the whole.
