I watched Cindy Sheehan being interviewd by Nora Odonnell on Hardball yesterday..........Odonnell tore her a new asshole........I am just wondering is this woman good for the Democratic Party?

Not really. Her politics are naive at best, and associating with dictators like Hugo Chavez is not good for credibility.

No. I would like to see the Democratic Party suceed-Because of The Economy Stupid. But her type seems to hurt their cause because she shows no skill, like many other Dems, at, you know, leading a War effort. The Dems can't capitalize on any of Bush's wartime mistakes because they have no one who knows what they're talking about.

The Dems desperately need james Carville back. Ever since he retired its been down, down down...

From the Republican point of view, she's a great spokesperson for the Democrats. The media finally figured that out. Before that, they thought she was a saint.

I think if you ask just about any democrat if Cindy Sheehan speaks for them you will get about the same response as asking any republican if Ann Coulter speaks for them.

More NP BS.

Besides, why would the dems even need a spokesman? I haven't heard of anything lately they have worth saying.

The poor confused Dem's, what a shame, they don't know what they want, other then the obvious........power!

I think she would make a good spokesperson for the democrat party. It would help the republican party and additional parties have a better chance or winning.

It's a great example of how idiotic some conservatives are if they truly believe Sheehan speaks for the democratic party. The equivalent idiotic remark would be saying that Phelps speaks for all Christians.

just remember that in the next Ann Coulter smear thread!;)

Sharpton and Jackson are embarrassments in their own right.

And in the House of Representatives, members of EITHER party aren't exactly the most rational people on the planet.

What is scary is those both ran for president in your party and Sharpton was the unquestionable star at the democratic debates in 2004.......

Uh, what Republican Congressmen have backed Ann Coulter..Better yet what Republican politician has?

Everyone has condemned Phelps....Few dems if any have condemned Sheehan......

Conyers and Waters back her 100%........

Why is it virtually impossible to be a left/right moderate without being associated with extreme left/right idiots?

I just feel sorry for Sheehan. Sometimes she says things that make me cringe. She's just a sad figure all around.

I agree with you on that. Come to think of it her and Bush have a lot in common.
Some of the chit that comes out…

I remember watching Bush on TV last year saying the “Worst enemies to America are Americans” he very quickly change it to the terrorists.

I have stated this before and got a cold reception but I wish to God “Storming Norman” would run. I believe he understands the Middle East and how to fight the war on terrorism.

I have considered the exact same thing on several occasions. I don't know how Schwartzkopf stands on all the issues, but I would very seriously consider voting for him as President.

It's not a yes or no question. I think it is very common for a parent who has lost a child to take up that cause in a way to give that loss of life some meaning. Sheehan would probably still be teaching Sunday school if her son wasn't killed. I think she represents the common person: wondering why we got into this god awful war in the first place, and more importantly how we can get out.

I think she speaks for a lot of everyday average American people wondering the same thing.

How can you say in one breath that some media person tore her a new a-hole, and in the next that the media considers her a saint? Unless you think tearing a new a-hole is what the media does to saints?

Read Carville and Begala's new book:Take It Back: Our Party, Our Country, Our Future It's a pretty good blueprint for the party to follow. I've always had mixed feelings about Carville. How anyone could feel so strongly about the Democratic party and be married to Mary Matlin is hard to fathom.

Most people would agree she has politicized her son's death for far too long at this point.

The fact that some of her family members have even distanced themselves from her speaks volumes.

It's really no different than a parent who lost a child to a drunk driver turning that into a lifelong commitment.

The family members you speak of were never close to Sheehan in the first place - let's call that a "Fox Fact"
