President Barack Obama should be impeached and then face criminal trial in federal court for his crimes against the Constitution. He is not, however, the only one in either party or in the bureaucratic service.
President Barack Obama should be impeached and then face criminal trial in federal court for his crimes against the Constitution in the multi-agency “IRS plot” against the 2012 elections.

Peggy Noonan reports what the majority of the mainstream media is trying desperately to ignore: evidence of a direct link between the White House and the ATF/EPA/FBI/IRS/OSHA/etc. executive branch on conservative political groups more simply known as the “IRS plot.” It turns out that an Obama political appointee was directly in the loop:

Michael Seto, head of Mr. Hull’s unit, also spoke to investigators. He told them Lois Lerner made an unusual decision: Tea-party applications would undergo additional scrutiny—a multilayered review.

Mr. Hull told House investigators that at some point in the winter of 2010-11, Ms. Lerner’s senior adviser, whose name is withheld in the publicly released partial interview transcript, told him the applications would require further review:

Q: “Did [the senior adviser to Ms. Lerner] indicate to you whether she agreed with your recommendations?”

A: “She did not say whether she agreed or not. She said it should go to chief counsel.”

Q: “The IRS chief counsel?”

A: “The IRS chief counsel.”

The IRS chief counsel is named William Wilkins. And again, he is one of only two Obama political appointees in the IRS.

I personally hold that a politically-motivated attack to undermine the ability of citizens to form political groups is a direct assault on the Constitution itself, and certainly fits the moral definition of treason, and perhaps the legal definition of the term as well.

Of course Rep Cummings, Jay Carney and a litany of Progressives keep telling us it's those low level employees in Cincinnati that did this all on their own.

No Big Surprise: Biased Media Ignore Obama Scandals

By L. BRENT BOZELL III

President Obama is announcing for the umpteenth time he's going to "pivot" to fixing the economy — as if that's ever worked before, since it is he who broke it.
That said, Obama will pivot to tiddlywinks if that's what it takes to get out from under his mountain of scandals.
On the White House website, Obama flack Dan Pfeiffer posted a blog post demanding everyone pay attention to Obama's latest speech in Galesburg, Ill., expressing tender concern for the middle class.
Meanwhile, he lamented, "Too many in Congress are trying to score political points, refight old battles and trump up phony scandals."
The media elite is still colluding with Obama to spread the bizarre fiction that there are no "Obama scandals." Inside the Obama-media bubble, Obama alone defines authenticity, honesty and problem-solving panache.
Outside that bubble, in the world of reality, the Obama administration is making Richard Nixon's IRS manipulations look like child's play.
Last week, House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearings uncovered infuriating new scoops on the scandal of Obama's IRS targeting Tea Party conservative groups and denying them tax-exempt status.
Remember the early spin that all the onerous delays and intrusive inquiries were contained to one office in Cincinnati and not in Washington? That lying spin has been eviscerated.

Peggy Noonan Discovers IRS "Bombshell" She Wrote About Two Months Ago | Blog | Media Matters for America

The Wall Street Journal op-ed page continues to be a primary source of life support for the fizzling "scandal" involving the IRS's targeting of non-profit groups. Peggy Noonan writes in her July 19 column that a massive "bombshell" landed this week courtesy of House Oversight Committee chairman Darrell Issa's latest hearing into the matter: "The IRS scandal was connected this week not just to the Washington office -- that had been established -- but to the office of the chief counsel." This new, shocking information, per Noonan, is a "bombshell" because "the chief counsel of the IRS is one of only two Obama political appointees in the entire agency."

Noonan need not have waited for Darrell Issa to drop the "bombshell" news that the IRS chief counsel's office was linked to the targeting. She could have just re-read her own Wall Street Journal column from May 18:
