Iraqi General - WMD were moved to Syria

That's true enough. I've always believed that unless those WMD are accounted for the matter cannot be closed. This is as good an explanation as any. I'm sure that Saddam didn'y just pour that stuff out on the desert floor. We do know that he buried whole aircraft, however.

And large quanities of highly toxic highly concentrated organophosphates, under camo, at his ammunition dumps, where the chemical artillary shells were kept. But I'm sure the appeasors here will claim he just wanted to keep the roaches out of his ammunition.

Yes, lets. Sada didn't say a peep about this until after the ISG finished their investigation and until there was money to be made.

My god KC! look at the basis of this thread. The first thing he says is that I don't have any proof, but I heard that there might be WMDs in Syria. Do you know what no transcript means? It has about as much proof as there is proof that the sky will fall tommorow.

I guess it helps when you have the intrnational community making backroom deals and avoiding the sanctions......

And of course the Syrian Amry can definately defeat our weak army, right?

Sada says the two pilots didn't approach him until mid-2004.

Mr. Sada, 65, told the Sun that the pilots of the two airliners that transported the weapons of mass destruction to Syria from Iraq approached him in the middle of 2004, after Saddam was captured by American troops.

"I know them very well. They are very good friends of mine. We trust each other. We are friends as pilots," Mr. Sada said of the two pilots. He declined to disclose their names, saying they are concerned for their safety.

As to why he didn't say anything since then, he said..

Mr. Sada acknowledged that the disclosures about transfers of weapons of mass destruction are "a very delicate issue." He said he was afraid for his family. "I am sure the terrorists will not like it. The Saddamists will not like it," he said.

Source.

How much is true? How much is fantasy? Someday, maybe, we'll find out.

Just because it comes from Fox doesn't mean its false.

No transcript up yet since the interview just happened on H&C on Fox. Former Air Vice Minister of the Iraqi Air Force and one of Saddam's most trusted military advisors stated tonight that indeed they had WMD and those weapons were moved to Syria in multiple sorties and truck convoys prior to the invasion and that they actively engaged in hiding evidence of the WMD programs from the UN inspectors.

Even Bob Bechel sitting in for Combs seemed mighty convinced.

Here is a link to his book.

http://gordondouglas.ambassadoragency.com/client_profile.cfm/cid/1225

Add this to the mounting confirmation of the terrorist training camps.

Both of which confirm what we knew, both this administration and the Clinton administration, and two of the reasons we removed Saddam.

Still against the war? The war still not justified?

Yes yes, and it was an Iraqi general that convinced us of where we could find WMD and that we said was our "mountain of reliable human intel" that led us into the war in the first place... and was later found to be full of crap.

You didn't mention which general, or a time frame.

And of course this disregards that even the White House's own investigations (three of them at least) as well as the Congressional investigations and International investigations said that not only were the "WMD" not moved to Syria, but they never even existed. But sure, let's take the word of some Iraqi general who has a lot to gain and nothing to lose... because that worked really well for us last time.

Let's think about this logically. What intrest does Syria have in being sanctioned by the entire UN.

Since when did they care?

While we are thinking of this logically, what interest did Saddam have in destroying his WMDs but witholding indisputable evidence of their destruction even as US forces gathered on his border?

What's the fuss? We know that Saddam had WMDs. There's no doubt about it. We gave him the material and the technology! We even encouraged him to use them against Iran. We only stopped encouraging him after the rest of the world voiced outrage that we would condone such inhumane acts.

What Saddam didn't have... regardless of the George's fear mongering speaches of "mushroom clouds over America"... were nucluer (nuclear for those of us that can speak English) weapons.

And for those of you who believe all that neoconservative BS about them having sent them to Syria... ask yourselves how is it that we can track almost any thing in the world but not truckloads of labratories, materials, etc. to make bombs?

Even Iran needs at least three years to produce enough enriched material to make a single nuclear bomb... provided that they start immediately with their enrichment porgram.

This "war on terrorism" is war to bring the muslim world under the control of globalist in order to advance their one world ruling entity.

Ni más, ni menos!

I tend to agree that this shouldn't be a fuss but the main stream media and the democrats made whether WMDs existed at the precise moment of the invasion a central issue. Pardon us "neocons" for correcting the record.

What is your evidence that we gave Saddam his WMDs?

How do know whether Saddam sent WMDs to Syria is BS? We have a hard time monitoring the country with tens of thousands of troops in country yet you are certain we would know if Saddam sent them to Syria before we got there?

I agree that, in hindsight, Iraq was a few years away from developing nukes; however, had we ignored the issue and let it fester, it is a foregone conclusion that Iraq would have acquired them in a 5-10 year time frame.

This "war on terrorism" is war to bring the muslim world under the control of globalist in order to advance their one world ruling entity.

Who said leftists don't have a sense of humor?

There is more to this than people know. We are already engaged in two countries. We are not in a hurry to get into a third and "fourth".

First off, I'm no leftist. Neoconservatism is Trokskyist deomcratic-socialism. You my friend are the leftist... and in case you doubt that you might want to review the George's five year record!

How do I know that we gave Saddam WMDs? History! We... the U.S.A. made both Saddam and Osama... you might remember the Carter administration's failed Iran policy after the leftist s-o-b backstabbed the best ally that we had there at the time. We gave the Iraqis the technology and the material to produce chemical and biological weapons... wmds! There was a good number of evidence of the effects of such beautiful weapons like mustard gas. Remember the little incident of one of our other allies, the Kurds, getting a dose of it too?

Perhaps you are too young to remember the Iran/Iraq war. It was a grand little piece of foreign policy... ten years, over a million dead... and prolonged by the United States funneling equipment to Iran through its ally Israel while selling amrs directly to Iraq and arms that they couldn't legally sell directly to Iraq through our other ally... the Saudis!

It's incredible how many times the name Saudi Arabia keeps popping up in this little war on terrorism and yet for some reason we never make the world safe for democracy by tumbling one of the most brutal dictatorships in the world. Even when our own State Department has said that Saudi Arabia supports terrorism! Ain't life grand when you're a friend of the Bush family? And then there's that little matter of 17 of 19 terrorist on 9/11 being Saudi and neither one of the other two being Iraqi. We don't want to forget the other part either... that ALL 19 were Wahabist which... incredibly... is from Saudi Arabia! Damn! Such coincidences! I hope there isn't another attack by Saudis because we'll probably unleash unholy hell on Aruba or perhaps even Paraguay... who knows with Bush logic?

And isn't it funny how we were able to maintain and check the Soviet Union... who didn't have one bomb but several thousand... for almost fifty years and yet for some reason we can't maintain a little country like Iraq or Iran?

This is socialist-democratic ideology run amuck! And there isn't anything funny about it!

By the way... what age are you... I ask because the draft is coming soon and many of you hot shot neocons are going to get a chance to back all that bravado!

I can't agree Gunny... these guys have planned for almost a decade to get us involved over there. If we go into Syria the French are going to be coming alone because they want to control Lebanon again. I think this administration is nuts! We're heading for another world war! Right now Iran and Syria have a mutual agression pact. Venezuela and Bolivia are also allies with them. And while Bushie boy has been having his butt handed to him by the new occupied "democracies"... the Red Chinese have been taking over South America! Today it was reported that the Iranian president is on his way to Cuba! I, personally believe that Red China is behind the scenes egging their proxy agents to taunt the George and his neocon gangsters. We're in this up to our arses and just one little miscalculation and that power keg is going to explode!

Sure you can.

When you heard that underground bunkers were found by Marines the size of football fields last year, they didn't just find rifles and ammo.

....and you are right, we are headed towards another World War. It is inevitable. The problem today is that our allies are lacking in the face of the aggression. Think about it like this....If America was completely isolated and stayed within our borders, would the Islamic world be at peace? No. They are determined to wage war upon infidels and there is nothing we can do about it. The Radical Islamic element which is growing (and Iraq and Afghanistan had little to do with it) is determined to start the apocalypse.

Our civilizations are clashing. The West can't even celebrate a freedom of the press without inciting rage and violence all over the world form a civilization that embraces the past instead of facing forward.

I hear ya Gunny! But radical Islam is no more radical than was the Soviet Union. And you are dead right... it's our civilizations clashing! That's what makes the George's mad dream even more mad... Iraq is not a democracy... there are no democratic institutions and there is no history of liberal politics... and by liberal I don't mean liberal as used in the Neocon vs. Democrats dialectic... I mean it as it was understand centuries ago.

We have the means to contain them in their lands... what we don't have is the resolve! As long as we have a socialist-democratic and politically correct mind set we are never going to be able to come out on top with this thing. Bush is a pansy! His leftist immigration policy and his refusal to control our borders more than five years after 9/11 has left this nation more vunerable than at any other time in our history.

Until Georger Bush made his infamous "axis of evil" speech there was a viable democratic movement in Iran. After that speech and their last election we've heard practically nothing of it because the Iranians... like any other nationalist... voted for their nation state in view of what they see as real threats by a world super power bully! We'd do the same thing!

Iran, Syria, Venezuela, and Bolivia don't seem to have the fear that they should when confronting a power like that of the United States... and we have to consider why not. The answer to that is Red China.

I fear that George and his neoconnedservatives are being played like a fiddle by Red China through their proxy agents. Even this rioting over cartoons that were published more than five months ago could be them sending a signal to Washington that they can control the whole of the mooseslime world if need to.

This has shown us nothing to believe that they have a handle on what is really going on in the world. Our intel is so unreliable that it isn't funny! They didn't even see the Hamas victory coming! In Eygpt the Muslim Brotherhood has won an unprecendented 19% of the seats in Parliment. The Shiías... the U.S. backed Iraqis lost big time in thier elections, Iran voted for a fanatical Islamic nationalist, Chavez... a devout communist has taken over Venzuela and remains in power because of another Bush blunder when he sent word to the opposition to let Chavez go after a successful coup! Now Bolivia has elected another devout communist, Emo Morales. Brazil has a communist president and Chili has just elected a socialist. Argentina... who is noramlly always socialist is on the verge of going completely herd core communist and Venezuela is financing them. Venezuela has also ordered $32 million in Red Chinese made missiles! Last week he threatened to sell off all of his Citgo processing plants here in the U.S. and wants to purchase 1 million AK-47s! he said that Venezuela needs a million new soldier because the U.S. was planning to attack them! A million soldiers! I can drive from one end of Venezuela to the other in less than 18 hours with terrible roads! And all of this has not only given Castro and Cuba new life but also has placed a tremendous amount of political pressure on Mexico, who has elections this year, to join the Latins against the gringos!

This world is s powder keg waiting for the right spark... just like in WWI! One mistake! One miscalculation!

Lol. I won't bandy definitions about with you because that is idle talk. Nor do I accept the suggestion that only the military in the country have the right to comment on issues of war and peace. That is a very regressive suggestion on your part so, I guess, you truely are not a leftist.

Your initial point which made me chuckle was:

This "war on terrorism" is war to bring the muslim world under the control of globalist in order to advance their one world ruling entity.

I do not see how your extensive revisionist history proves this wild point.

Your comparision of the cold war to controlling Saddam is, to be as delicate as possible, less than apt.

We did know about the Hamas victory. It was predicted. There was just nothing that could be done about it, but you are right....the world is a mess. The Radicals in the Soviet Union had nothing on what we are facing with Radical Islam. I would suggest that you study it a little more. Also, familiarize yourself with the differences between a "Practical" terrorist and an "Apocalyptic" terorist.

The problem with "containing" is that they are not content with staying in their lands. They export terrorism. They practice terrorism within our allied countries (not just Israel). Their civilization is failing and they are revelling with the notion that we are their enemy (infidels). The narcotic of choice in the Middle East is blame. They blame evryone else for their own failures. For a reference of what we are seeing today, look at the 16th century when European Christianity fell into chaos due to inventions like the Printing Press and the wish for society to break from passed down traditions. It was a blood bath of zealotry. Some people withdrew into the comforts of the Roman Catholic church, some "protesters" chose to accept progress and the need to change their religion (Protestants), and other people chose to punish "non-believers." Their religion was threatened and they lashed out. Today's Islam is not facing forward. Their world is stagnated. Our age happens to be a losing era for Islam, when its functionality as a mundane organizing tool has decayed in much of the world—just as European Christianity had done by the beginning of the 16th century.

We do not have a choice in this. Without Iraq and without Afghanistan we are still facing a civilization in crisis. Although his vision is closer to the grimmest passages of Christianity's Book of Revelation than to anything in the Koran, Osama Bin Laden and thousands of Mullahs have been able to convince countless Muslims that their vision is the purest and proudest Islamic form. This should be a huge warning flag to the west about the spiritual crisis in the Islamic world. We face a situation so perverse that it is as if tens of millions of frustrated Christians decided that Kali, the Hindu Goddess of death and destruction, embodied the true teachings of Jesus Christ. We are witnessing the horrific mutation of a great world religion, and the Islamic world likely will prove the greatest breeding ground of "apocalyptic" terrorists in history. This thing is a lot bigger than just a handful of terrorists.

Our civilization can't even celebrate our hard earned and fought kept freedoms without inciting violence and destruction from another civilization who refuse to get beyond their stagnation. Nothing we can do will satisfy these people.
