I'm wondering how deep this insurgent infiltration of Iraqi forces both in the Iraqi army, police and elsewhere, goes?
I'm almost convinced that as soon as the Americans leave that the Iraqi army will not only stand down to the insurgents but will probably flock to their side in droves.
Finally, I'm also convinced that this incident has probably happened hundreds of times but that the Pentagon has quitetly hushed it up.
When the Pentagon resorts to lie after lie, let's face it guys, Bush has lost in Iraq. It's over people, let us start our withdrawal plans with some semblence of dignity and our country's soul still intact.

But the Army's Criminal Investigation Command found that one or more of the Iraqis attached to the American soldiers on patrol fired at them, a military official said Tuesday...
