I really think showing pictures shows the problem in modern warfare when it was just reports on a radio people could except it more easily the reality of war is horrible.

Keep in mind that although i feel the Iraq war shouldnt of happened there will be necessery conflicts in the future and the avalabilty of pictures of civilian casulties will hinder them.

US air force, US army, other US military branches, Iraqi army, Iraqi security, private security from the US and Iraq, English military forces, some other allied military forces, extremists, suicide bombers and terrorists.

There are thousands of pics/movies like that on the net. At least that shows what is the war.

And, yes, Cherokee, if you looked for the background you could find it.

Your 5 year old niece needs to get an eye full of the disgusting situation in Iraq that we created.
 
I have gotton so bored with the news crap from Iraq until I don't watch the
news anymore. We created the situation, its getting worse, and the Pres
is still sending troops over to the middle east. The US Government wants
the world to feel sorry for the lives we have losted (I feel sorry too), but
look at the many lived we have taken, and now American tax dollars is
being spent to rebuild something that we have destoryed. The people of
Iraq wants to be a independent country, and that will never happen as
long as we are present.

Tell me what will happen when all the arabic nations turn on us because
they are tired of fighting against one another? Bring the troops home to
fight racism and discrimination over here. The damn Police enforcement officers isn't doing a damn thing to solve crime, and its a fact that most of the cops are committing crimes themselves. Lets say if there was to be peace in the Middle East today. Some country somewhere will do something to start the bs all over again. What & who are we? Universal cops? The World Police?

I really have to know. Does anyone else here think we should be showing these pictures to 5 years olds?

Children should NOT have to pay for grown ups mistakes. I am truly disgusted by what some think is ok for children.
 
At first I agreed that our young children should see them pictures, but I am
changing my mind because kids do not need to see this kind of mess, and
especially since this country is 90% blame. Our kids see enough violences
on the tele a lie vision, and plus I am sure that many sees that crap live in
their neighborhood.

I agree that we (grown ups) are to blame not the children and they should not be subjected to our mistakes.

Maybe if your son is traumatized he will not grow up and kill thousands of innocent people for no reason like we have done.

SAD thing is that no matter how long we stay there then leave, the same things will go on. They have been fighting each other for thousands of years there and I can't see 4-10 years of us in there making a difference. They hate each other. We backed Saddam then he turned against us. There will just be another Saddam with a different name replacing him.
BTW: There are over 6 million people in Bagdad. How can 200,000 of our troops ever control all of them. When I was in Nam we needed 10 men to get one of them. So at my estimate it will take 60 million of our troops to get them. YA! I know I am high on the figure but you get the point.
