if world powers send Tehran nuclear fuel for a medical research reactor, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Friday.

Addressing a packed press conference in a New York hotel, Mr Ahmadinejad also said Iran was prepared to set a date for resumption of talks with six world powers to discuss Tehran's nuclear programme, saying October would be the likely time for the two sides to meet.

----

Mr Ahmadinejad said Iran had no interest in enriching uranium from around 3.5 per cent to 20 per cent purity, but was forced to do so after the world powers refused to provide nuclear fuel that is needed for a Tehran reactor that produces medical isotopes for patients.

-------

"We were not interested to carry out 20 per cent enrichment. They (the US and its allies) politicised the issue. We were forced to do it to support the (medical) patients," Mr Ahmadinejad said. "We will consider halting uranium enrichment whenever nuclear fuel is provided to us."

This isn't exactly news but I thought some here might appreciate the information, as a pose to the disinformation that is rife regarding this subject. Iran already had a deal for this set out that would have seen Brazil and Turkey supply the material needed, meaning this 'problem' would have been long gone. But the 'West' refused, once again making their objectives rather clear.

The problem is that Turkey cannot be trusted and neither can Brazil. DO NOT blame the west for this issue. This issue started because some brainwashed allah apes want nukes.

More or less this means that the bomb factory is now somewhere in Syria. Syria needs to be searched, all research facilities need to be visited by the IAEA and any hint of a nuclear strike needs to result in severe punishment.

Care to share why?

I'm not really convinced of Iran's sincerity in the matter, they havent exactly been up-front and honest when it comes to nuclear materials and their uses in the past.
