I remember when the US Government and public thought that Iraq was going to be a "cakewalk". Do not overestimate your power either, advanced technology can only go so far. No-one would have predicted at the start of the invasion this is where we would end up. Your shock and awe won a battle but it didn't win the war.

I am only concerned with the weapons facilities, and our bunker busters with nuclear tips, will more then get the job done. I would not be against dropping one on this a-holes front door as well, but as long as we disrupt their weapons programs, I am all for leaving the rest up to the people of Iran.

Appeasement? Hmm lets see since WW2. Europeans fought in the Korean War, Fauklands War, Gulf War, Kosovo War, Afganistan War, we liberated Greece from a coumminst government, invaded Eygpt, a few African Wars - so we haven't been exactly inactive.
Did we appease Hitler? Yes we did. Did you appease Pol Pot? Yes, in fact you made an ally out of him.
Maybe you hate us because your mad that America actually needs Europe. Believe it or not you do. Of course Europe needs America. I think we are two friends who have fallen out a bit.

As for Iran, I believe your beloved Bush is using the diplomatic solution and making us Europeans do it? Why? Because he knows America can't afford another war, especially with Iran? Bush is actually appeasing Iran THROUGH us. Maybe the President has an image to maintain.

The US appeased the Soviet Union as well, in Hungary 1956 Cuba 1962 Czechoslovakia 1968 Poland 1980.

Appeasement is a terrible policy. Full scale thermonuclear war would have been much better.

Yeah, wave by by asshole, this idiot has done it again, he has repeated his threat to wipe Israel off the face of the planet. I don't know what this guy is thinking, I guess he is welcoming sanctions, and future attacks on his weapons facilities.:doh

Why even say this? What is the purpose (As if I didn't already know).

Did FDR kill Germans? Did Winston Churchhill? How many British leaders sent their young men off to "their deaths?" It is not the role of a nation's leader to climb a horse and lead his men into war. For that matter..it is not the military commander's job to lead his "soldiers" on a patrol. You're in the wrong era.
Fighting WWII was essential for our survival. It wasn't based on an exagerated threat & lies like the Iraq war as we've been reminded of today with the Lewis Libby case.
You can't compare Bush or Blair to men of the calibre of FDR or Churchill anyway.
Still trying to convince yourself GY that your fly swat isn't utterly futile as a war on terror ?

Perhaps, you could notice that Iranian excercises in Middle East map redrawing are much more modest than these of the US (jews - "Lewi"?)...

So, what reaction do you expect?

We all know the democracy is forced & not real. But since no terrorist attacks have come from Iraq how the hell is forced democracy going to help there when the terrorists come from Suidi, Algeria, Pakistan, Morroco, Eritrea & from the UK right under Blair's shitty nose & from a dozen other countries riddled with the Muslim mind virus ?
Get a grip you're dreaming. You've swallowed the lies of Lewis & Cheney & the corrupt Bush regime. Youve been propagandised by Fox News.

This has the potentional to be the summer of 1914 all over again, and nuclear weapons might be in play.

This conflict has been heating up fast over the past few weeks.

Russia and Iran are very close, and Putin has reportedly stated that Russia would defend Iran militarily, and if the situation were to spiral out of control China and ally of Russia might very well side with Russia.

The US would almost certainly defend Israel, and Europe would defend the US.

Freedom has a way of spreading. And W. has served notice that he WILL come and get you.

Get a grip you're dreaming.

I had a funny dream the other night.

In that dream:

There were no terror attacks in the US.

Quadafi folded quick like.

Kuwait had a woman installed in the government.

Sudan went back to Democratic rule.

Afganistan voted.

Iraq voted.

The free flow of ALL information in the area spreads.

Syria pulled out of Lebenon.

I shaved my dogs ass and taught him to walk backwards and say, "I make more money than you so I win this politcal debate".

Russia was close to Iraq. Where does that leave THAT argument?

China will toe our economic line. Tamen zhidao. They can't AFFORD to have the US stop buying their sneakers and plastic toys.

China and Russia are non players in the world military scene.

We can destroy both economically. Without firing a shot. Don't even go to the military argument.

There is only one superpower. Guess who?

This is so easy...

Just call me friggin Kreskin...

Dude, that is like no reply at all. Worse than no reply, because you prove you ain't got game. The power of the voters you ask? I don't know, let's see, one voter has the power of, uh, one voter. But I can see that upsets you, don't it? Dude, you are so grasping at nothing. Your word means nothing. You have no facts behind you. Blind hate does not a political debate win. Bring something to the game. You're just a chew toy. And that gets old quick. I never said terrorists came from Lybia, (though some do), I'm saying since W. took the reigns Lybia realized it's not in their best interest to be on the losing side. And last I checked, the Iraqi election gives each group great veto power over the other groups, forcing them to get along, compromise, find a solution that benefits all.

Like I said before:

You're not very good at this, are you?

Maybe we should read on...

According to your source...

On December 7, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a security bulletin saying that, on December 5, a man with an Arab accent had telephoned the U.S. Embassy in Helsinki, Finland, and had told them that a Pan Am flight from Frankfurt to the United States would be blown up within the next two weeks by someone associated with the Abu Nidal Organization. He said a Finnish woman would carry the bomb on board as an unwitting courier. The caller was out by only two days.

Hey...Let's check up on that organization, shall we?...:2wave:

Fatah - the Revolutionary Council (better known as the Abu Nidal Organization, after its founder Abu Nidal) was an international terrorist organization created by a split from Fatah in 1974.

The group is also known as the Arab Revolutionary Brigades, Black September and the Revolutionary Organization of Socialist Muslims. It has an estimated membership of several hundred...

The group maintained a presence in Iraq and Lebanon, its operations in Libya and Egypt were stopped by local authorities in 1999...

...The group has received funding from the governments of Saddam Hussein's Iraq, Libya, and (until 1987) Syria.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatah_-_the_Revolutionary_Council

And let's all check out the top guy in this organization...

Abu Nidal was based over the years in Iraq, Syria, Libya, Egypt, and toward the end of his life once again in Iraq, and is believed to have been responsible for ordering attacks in 20 countries, killing or injuring over 900 people

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abu_Nidal

How do you like them fish & chips?

Israeli officials are on the record saying they would act unilaterally if they were put in a situation where they felt threatened by an Iran nuclear bomb. Russia is on the record, from what I understand, saying they would defend Iran both diplomatically and militarily.

Russia and China have large interests in Iran, and would defend those interests, and are going to defend those interests at least on the diplomatic front, and “possibly” militarily.

All I’m saying is, if a conflict breaks out between Israel and Iran there is a “potential” for a catastrophic fall out. A summer of 1914 type fall out with the added threats of 2005.

I understand exactly what your saying. Sure the "potential" exists. The fact of the matter is the Jews will kick their ass and everyone else will stand by and cry for the UN to do something while we silently back the Jews. Russia and China will smartly sit on their hands. Just like with Iraq. China and Russia have no answer for the B1-B, the Aegis cruiser, the FA-22, our very ready and now well practiced troops, and the very REAL AND UP AND RUNNING missile defense system that our government rightly says not a friggin thing about. Is this not getting through? Oh, I'm sorry America to interupt your viewing of American Idol to interupt you with the friggin truth. Beware the military/industrial complex for it brings with it freedom, prosperity, the spread of democracy, and my ass sleeping very peacefully at night.

Class dismissed.

We all know the democracy is forced & not real.

I vividly remember the TV interview with one elderly Iraqi woman who was on her way to vote back in January. She said, "I go and listen to the [local cleric - could never pronouce or spell the name] and see if his words would be of interest to me. But when I go to the booth, I will do as I wish."

Yep, thats forced alright.

Does OBL speak for the entire Muslim world when he says America's policies in the ME are hypocritical and corrupt? Perhaps. But does he speak to the future dreams of most Muslims living in the Arab-Muslim world when he speaks of permanent civilizational apartheidt-the caliphate-with the West, consequently condemining hundreds of millions of young people to lives of 'disconnectedness' and deprivation? For if he does, then why did the Muslim world remain silent while the US military toppled the severely fundamentalist Taliban regime in Afghanistan only to throw its arms up in anger over the subsequent decision to dismantly Saddam's amazingly vicious but secular regime in Iraq? Why, then, did so many ordinary Muslims participate in elections in both Afghanistan and Iraq, despite the death threats and car bombs and promises of retribution from Al Qaeda-inspired terrorists?

Why did hundreds of citizen candidates run for only a handful of seats in the capital city of Riyadh in 2005 when Saudi Arabia held its first local elections in more than seven decades? Why has there been such a profound surge from below for political reforms throughout the ME since the US - led coalition invaded Iraq? Is this a civilization that just wants to be left alone or fears being left behind?

The article below, posted courtest of yahoo news, is positive proof that Iran's nuclear intentions are all weapons related.

The article below accurately illustrates why Iran can NEVER be allowed to develop nuclear technology while it is under the control of a militant Islamic extremist group.

Iran's puppet president and the extremist Islamic terrorists known as the mullahs, who recently had a 15 year-old girl executed, are not to be trusted. Iran MUST be disarmed immediately and Iran's nuclear facilities must be destroyed.

Iran is an out of control terrorist state that wants nuclear weapons to use as a means of furthering their extremist Islamic views.

The world needs to form a coalition of forces to invade Iran and knock the mullahs and Iran's current president out of power. If the the terrorist government of Iran is neutralized, the threat Iran poses to the world is neutralized.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

TEHRAN, Iran - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad declared Wednesday that Israel is a "disgraceful blot" that should be "wiped off the map" — fiery words that Washington said underscores its concern over Iran's nuclear program.

Ya I heard about this, it's ridiculous I'm starting to reconsider my earlier opinion that the people who accused this man as being the hostage taker in the Iranian revolution were mistaken. This sounds like a radical to me, to even consider the possibility of allowing Iran to go nuclear is unfathomable to me.

P.S. Where have you been? Long time no see, good to have you back.
