Islamic regimes don't just make up laws. They follow that which either the Qur'an commands or Mohamed did and said. Verse 5:33 is the culprit in this case:

"Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption (fasad in Arabic) is none but that they be killed or crucified".

As I may have said before I detest cruel and totalitarian Islamic dictatorships.

But, our past democrat Presidents have wanted to work with Iran in negotiated a nuclear bomb treaty and in the process give them billions of dollars. Our social outrage against people in America doesn't seem to stretch to our enemies when we are doing political business.

Gee, because the alternative to negotiation is.....what? Sanctions haven’t worked. An invasion would be a disaster for the US. Ignoring the situation isn’t going to make it go away.

Political realities and necessities cause all sorts of strange bedfellows all the time. No Western country should have anything to do with China because of their lack of human rights, but .......

These guys sound like they're from Texas.

Negotiation good. Meekly giving in to the demands of hideous dictatorships bad.

It was the US that went back on its word last time around, not Iran.

And as for hideous dictators, the US sure doesn’t have a problem rolling over for Saudi Arabia.

As do 17 other countries, including Canada (I assume you're talking about oil imports).

The US is opening up a shiny new testing facility in Saudi Arabia and happily sponsored their campaign in Yemen, which has killed tens of thousands of civilians and sparked a man made famine.

Yup. Sunnis and Shias killing each other for 'doing Islam wrong'.

Oh cut it out. You lot have no qualms about sidling up to the medievel monarchy in Saudi Arabia, where people still get executed for sorcery. The Sharia there is at least as offensive as in Iran. More, maybe.

The vast majority in Yemen are Sunni, as is nearly everyone in Saudi Arabia.

I really like Islamic attitudes on homosexuality. Too many westerners hate gay men but love lesbian women. Islam hates both, and I can deeply respect that commitment.

Executing sex traffickers is a good thing, actually.

You don't think they just threw that charge in to make it sound legitimate?
In the absence of any evidence they were framed I won't assume they were, no.
