Unacceptable by whom?, obviously the Russians who although they signed up to additional sanctions on Iran are uneasy that sanctions imposed by EU & US have teeth and might actually hurt the Iranians.

Russia seems as usual to be up to it's usual unsavory tricks, keeping pressure on Iran by rebuking them for their (Iran's) verbal attack on Putin's puppet Medvedev yet at the same time rebuking the West for placing sanctions that might actually work, on the Iranians.

It would be best that Russia speak with one voice to the UN/The West/Iran.

Russia can **** off. The sanctions are fine ... the RUssian government is wrong and needs to go play in a mine field.

Russia's got quite some form for upkeeping and sponsoring genocidal and tyrannical regimes spanning half the globe, so you couldn't expect them to stand by whilst a kindred spirit gets all it deserves.


....Or maybe the Lefties on this board have other ideas?! Some of them were very keen to defend communism against my reactionary Daily Mail-reading, Section 28-ing opinions!
