Iran-Health-AIDS-Breakthrough
The formula Iranian scientists and researchers have discovered for medical treatment of AIDS epidemic has two-year effect on patients using it for three-month period.

Minister of Health and Medical Education Kamran Baqeri Lankarani on Tuesday said in a long-awaited statement to announce the breakthrough made by Iranian scientists and researchers that the use of the formula for a three-month period, will have clinical effects on patients for a two-year term, comparing it with other medicines which are only effective while being administered.

He said that Iranian doctors have experimented the formula on patients and its two-year effect on the body is guaranteed.

It's welcome news if it's true, but it's well overstated. It's not a "cure," it's a treatment which must be maintained over a lifetime. It's an advancement over current treatments in terms of the length of its effectiveness, but it's not a cure.

I was thinking it was more like the invisible, silent, flying stealth boat.....

Well, that's why I said "if true." I'm pretty skeptical that Iran has the money, ability, OR willingness to do such a thing, and that their press agency would give an accurate accounting of it besides.

Iran has long since had a cure for those of it's citizens who have contracted HIV AIDS.
First of all they flatly denied that any of their citizens were afflicted.

Next when they discovered that it was more prevalent than they had at first realized they decided that young men with this decease would make excellent "Suicide Bombers" and coerced them into doing just that, the coercion being that should they refuse, they would be imprisoned and their families would be ostracized by Iranian society, they naturally chose the easy way out.
I guess they thought 72 virgins better than the Iranian prison.

Iran is actually a wealthy country, it is estimated that they have a minimum of $12 Billion in reserves from oil sales to Japan and China.

Certainly their scientists are equally as superb as any in the west.

Sorry but all of this seems HIGHLY Unlikely. Their view of AIDS is that it is a punishment from God. Why would a country that is deeply rooted in religion be devising a vaccine to cure something they feel is an act of god?

Maybe some of their own leaders have AIDS? Hypocrisy is prevalent in all religions. :)

Yeah that was once the case, but since they realised AIDS is rife in their country and could affect the countries economy, they soon changed their tune. In FACT Iran now has one the of best AID treatment and awareness programs in the world. And they provide this treatment for FREE, imagine that. Free Healthcare in Iran.

Just thought I would point out that hypocrisy is prevalent in all of society.

Forgive me. Im just your average Jesus freak that likes to keep things in order.

:2wave:

my point is, its no huge revelation that hypocrisy exists in all religions, since it exists everywhere else too.
