Whomever ginned up this list (I'm supposing it wasn't you Viking11): sub-80.

How much IQ did Jefferson use when he raped one of his slaves?

lol.... yeah.

Pure speculation, with a large dose of Leftie Propaganda.

I've actually taken I.Q. Tests three times, once in my middle school, once in the Military, and once when going to work for DOE on special projects.

I changed a bit over time, peaking in my mature youth in the military, where I scored in the top 0.0001% of the population. At the time, the score ranked as being one out of 135,000 people. Considering the entire standing military was only 1.2 Million at the time, I was one of somewhere around 20 people in the military with my level of IQ or higher.

It still did not let me get into my generations Airforce AECP college tuition scholarship program, it was given to only Blacks and Women at the time.

The tests are complex, and require a great deal of time (several days) to do correctly, and there is no possible way that an accurate assessment for I.Q. can be made for any person who is not alive to take them.

High I.Q. is nice to have, but being a double 'Designated Minority' is allot better in the Obama-Nation.

Do you not understand what a forum is? This is not a place to post your lists.

What does this useless list have to do with political debate?

the dead give away to bogus is the number 180, an improbable measurement

possible but not probable as it is very difficult to measure....kids have been rejected as measuring for genius because they only measured at 125 and then later in life won the Noble Prize in physics...others have amounted to nothing

What would be interesting would be the technology used to establish the iq of the long dead.

there are five mentioned who are alive

comparing alternative data from other sources for each should allow us to evaluate the reasonableness of that list

bibi at 180; my impression is the list is cooked

I wondered if this self aggrandizing post was BS until I reached your "Obama-Nation" conclusion, and realized it could only be.

Stanford-Binet: 162 - First time (circa 1968)- not revealed until I discovered results in a file years later.
Stanford-Binet: 133 - Second time (circa 1972)- given at state mental health facility.
Weschler: 143
Woodcock-Johnson: 138
Another "IQ" test I don't remember the name of, taken when applying to an IT training course: 145*
*test given to determine "ability to benefit from courses offered".
Another report in one of my elementary school files listed my indicated IQ as only 120.
An "Iowa Test of Basic Skills" was also administered to all third and fourth grade students plus another test which was scored on something called a stanine. (ERB percentile)

The reason for so many tests for me was due in part to my public school system not realizing that I was on the autism spectrum. (Asperger's)
I was also a Tourette's patient and the school system was trying to determine reasons for my early behavorial difficulties.
Little was known about autism or Tourettes in the 1960's.
I was not formally diagnosed with either until age 44.

Note the vast swing in IQ scores, which has led me to believe that the whole notion of testing for IQ is somewhere in the same category as divining for water with a forked stick.
It is very difficult to believe that anyone would have scores that cover a range of as much as forty-two points, with the score of 162 being as hard for me to believe as the score of 120.
It cannot possibly be anywhere near 162 because my non-verbal battery scores are always much lower due to my poor mathematical abilities yet my verbal scores are always ridiculously high, even on very bad days.
I have no difficulty with the four basic math operations or basic algebra but have never managed to grasp anything above that level.
Numerical puzzles are always a dead end for me. Some people are "facts and figures", others are "colors and shapes".
I guess I fall into the latter category.

Last but not least, my one experience with MENSA, when I was told I qualified to join, was nothing like I imagined.
The group of people I met were some of the most undeveloped minds I'd ever encountered, perhaps possessing a high degree of native intelligence but utterly lacking in conventional wisdom or emotional development.

I do not believe that there is a rational, practical or consistent method of rating a person's intelligence quotient with any kind of numerical accuracy or numerical score.
Minds and brains are not automobile engines however if they were, one must be mindful that where IQ equals horsepower, emotional maturity and wisdom equal traction thus horsepower without traction yields a mostly unusable form of intelligence, at least that which would be practical in the outside world.

What would be interesting would be the technology used to establish the iq of the long dead.

Yes, how did they come to the conclusion that Goethe's IQ was an astronomical 210?
PS: I am sure some of Bibi's people wasted no time in letting BHO know that he had a 180 IQ.

Huh, it seems such a brilliant person would have read enough to know that "allot" is not a word. Certainly, they would have read enough to know for how long being male and white were the primary qualifications for just about everything good. It just goes to show you that IQ can be an unrealized potential and does not correlate well to the individual ability to reason.
