iPhone 4

Since we are talking IPhones...just as a gee whiz...

I bought the Mophie Battery case...that with a screen protector...I only have to charge my phone about every 3 days..and that is with frequent use.

Obviously not as frequent as me...

3gs and mophie, im dead by noon. lol....

The new one, however has better battery life than the 3gs with a mophie.

I'll wait for 5 to come out next week. :2razz:

Thats not use...thats a sickness!

True,

I use mine as a contact managment, e-mail, and online presence solution. I use it as a remote admin appliance for several hundered customers, Use it to direct my employees via e-mail, sms, etc. Use it to take pictures of serial numbers and voice notes......

Use it to look up support case tickets my company generates.

I could go on.

Some of us have a greater need than others I suppose.

I can understand why you need one, but if I decided to get my wife one, she is not very computer savvy and would be constantly calling me on the phone at work to get her out of the endless loop she has put herself in. It happens every time she mixes up the satellite button with the TV button on the remote control. I then have to walk her through what to do. Now, we live so remote, that it is difficult to get a decent signal. I have to go down to the end of my driveway, just to get one tic on the phone signal. Iphone? Not practical where I live. The tiny LG Accolade I just purchased works well enough for me, especially when I'm in the city. Then again, I'm older than you, and gadetry appeals to the youth. I wouldn't mind playing with it, but is it worth all the extra money when all I want to do is make phone calls? The camera switch on my phone is a pain because every time I touch something with it in the case, it snaps a picture, and I'm stuck erasing 15 or so black pictures of my pocket. Grunt!

I think the Rev has discovered The Matrix app on his Iphone. He just plugs in to his brain stem

When does he find time to do any work? He is always on here, and when he's not here, he's playing with his Iphone. Oh, that's right, his employees do all the work so he can play. Must be nice.

It is. :pimpdaddy:

The differences between the 3GS and the 4 are not that big. I don't understand why people are tripping over each other to get it. Unless you live in an area where the 3G network is high density, the video calls will be choppy at best.

I guess there's no reasoning with consumers.

I thought the same thing, until I started using it.

1. battery life is easilly 40% better.

2. reception is 75% better (which I think helps #1)

3. the screen is crystal clear makes reading tons of emails easy on the eyes.

4. multi-tasking, while available on the 3gs now, it is not as robust.

5. hd camera and video camera, no comparison.

6. overall feel.

7. hd video

I really didn't even look this thing up before I got it. My office manager simply jumped on the pre-order and I barely knew anything about it. When I first got it, I thought, meh, minor differences, but as I am using it.... It's a much improved product....

"consumerism" has nothing to do with it. my business requires me to have access to several applications and functions the Iphone does the best with. The fact this one improves battery life alone makes it worth it to me.

I have the type and walk thingy so I can see where I am going when I am typing.....

You arent burning 3 days worth of battery in 4 hours texting my friend...you are surfing porn!!! ;)

Oh, well if your business covered the cost then that's cool. I thought you personally dished out $400 for it, which I think would be silly.

Why surf porn when you can piratebay it, and convert it to hd for the iphone? ;)

You have way too much intimate knowledge of the practice, reverend! ;)

hey...anyone ever seen a raised dot screen protector for the keyboard? I really strugle with the flat screen keyboard.

The Sprint EVO 4G is already out with a 4.3" screen that's even easier to read vs Apples 3.5" one.
And several others mfg by HTC, etc (like Droix X) also have 4.2 inchers.
Slightly larger in the hand but no reading glasses needed. Perfect for the male over 40.

From Many Pics here.

A small Tablet and a phone and still pocketable for say.. a jacket.
Future versions will be 7" and 10".
And no need, as with Apple for 2 devices.

Apple is plenty aware of this (and you should be) but has no combo device yet as they would cannabalize there Hot sales of each and double billing.

One of my classmates has the EVO that she bought in London. When I tried out my friend's iphone I didn't like the way the music application worked. With the ipod you can switch songs or adjust volume by just putting your hand in your pocket, but you can't do that with the iphone because you have to use the screen interface.

If apple would come out with a solid combo device I would buy it, but like you said mbig I don't think they do that because it keeps their customers buying separate devices which is more profitable for them.

nah...the money is in the apps...not the devices...

Too big imo.

I heard all the hullabalo on the news last night about the antenna issue....

I can repeat it, but I never lose service or call connection, and in order to have it happen you have to hold the phone like a tard.
