Iowa GOP resolves nomination fight, could face fractured party

There are a few seats that this sort of thing is happening. I was just reading about one seat where two candidates were fighting for the GOP nomination... but both already had 3rd party nominations so either way they'd both be on the ballot! Split vote -> Lost seat, possibly. I think the Tea Party/Libertarian/Other Conservative appearances on the ballot might actually hurt the GOP in a few districts. The way the GOP has been talking themselves up for November, that might end up being disappointing.

Don't know. Hopefully they'll figure out that the answer to people recoiling from the extremists in the party is NOT to run farther to the right.
