There is more than one way to skin a cat. The US is being invaded from countries south of the border. They just found a different way of doing it besides with military force. I remember seeing a couple of different occasions where they were talking to people from south of the border. They said, basically, "Somebody is paying for all those people to make the trip." I agree. And that "somebody" is their governments. Also, for the most part, though I don't believe the invaders BS boo hoo stories about being threatened, let's say some of them were true. Who is most likely to be doing the threatening? (Secretly of course) Their governments. Trying to herd people they don't want around, for whatever reason, northward.

Right now, very nearly half of the population increase in the U.S. is due to illegal immigration. Not births, as it should be. And of those born here, I wonder what percentage of the parents are illegal immigrants. I myself say that the time has come to completely close the border. And anything made there that is shipped here should be being by Americans to begin with. But the problem is that democrats, republicans and businesses love the shit out of cheap labor. Or slavery as I would call it.

I do not believe for a moment people would make the journey to the Untied States illegally if the living conditions in their home countries was not hopelessly immiserated if not outright deadly.

America needs the low skilled workers. Shut up already who's going to make our hotel beds and clean the toilets?

Most Americans have woken up and smelled the coffee.

They realize that we have passed the point of no return.

Economic conditions in our southern neighbors are so dire that there is no way to stop them from coming here.

The United States is a veritable paradise for them. And for us.

*****

I remember that when people from the USSR started coming here back in the last century, they literally cried when they first entered an American supermarket! In their country, one lined up for hours at a state-run store and when one finally got in, there was almost nothing to buy.

Americans are very lucky people.

You're right. The only people who should be in the USA are the Native Americans. So pack your bags and Adios!

Cheers and be well.

Being that this thread is in the Military Forum, is there an angle on your part for which 'this invasion' should be handled by our military?

I myself in the past have been an immigrant. Here in the U.S. From my home state on a couple of occasions I went to Texas looking for work. On a couple of occasions I went to Indiana looking for work. On another occasion I went to Florida looking for work. I also went to Virginia once looking for work. It wasn't because I was terribly impoverished or faced possible death. But that's ok because I'm an American.

Those other people are foreigners. **** them. On a couple of occasions I saw mexicans trying to teach Americans Spanish. If anything having to do with spanish was worth a damn, they wouldn't be coming here. Also, I was watching a show about drug dealers once. One of them they interviewed was a mexican drug dealer wearing a disguise. The interviewer asked him what he thought about selling drugs to children. Basically he said that he tried to avoid doing so. But as far as White kids were concerned, he didn't give a damn about them.

Also, in the animal kingdom it is far from unknown for one group to take what another group has. Bonobo chimps settle their differences by having sex with each other. I just don't think that is the way to go. Human history has a long litany of one group trying to take what another group has. If you don't try to protect what you have, you aren't what I would even call a human.

This thread is here because what is going on is an invasion. Though I think it is something our military needs to deal with. In the Constitution it says that the federal government is supposed to protect states from invasion. But like so many laws, it is just ignored. To the government, them slaves are just too profitable. They choose treason and money over sovereignty. The filthy scum.

The way I see it, the US and Europe are experiencing a wave of mass migration that can't and won't be stopped, like the Vikings, the Saxons, the Huns et al weren't stopped. In 500 years, it will be mentioned in the history books, maybe, as a factor of cultural change.

We know it led to a lot of senseless bloodshed and misery in the past. People wanted a place to live, to make a living, in safety. Not exactly strange. Do we meet it with tribal hostility and swords or try welcoming and making room for them? Which will be in our best interests in the end?

I meet immigrants every day, both legal and illegal. Face to face in real life. Not on television. The vast majority are not parasites and none are invaders.

You’re speaking of the agricultural sector of various states which welcome farm workers crossing our southern border.

Mexican braceros working in U.S. fields is a long-standing tradition.

As far as anything connected with the Spanish language being worth little, Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas think differently. Heaven forbid we should have to change all the Spanish place names contained in those states. The hideously repetitive song, Pico and Sepulveda, couldn’t exist without Spanish names.

That is not a free pass into the United States. We can not accept everyone who's living conditions are not acceptable in their country. The United States accepts about 1 million legal immigrants each year.

Some people think the great influx of newcomers to the Roman Empire caused its demise. Others say nah. I don't see it bothering anything here. Our culture hasn't been weakened by newcomers; we are all newcomers. Immigrants through history have assimilated and are as American as anyone else. The US has always been a patchwork quilt of different genes and traditions brought with the people who came here. Look at the last names in any large company and you will see most of the world represented. The American way of democracy, openness, tolerance toward different beliefs, and freedom to explore and change is the overall American culture that ties us all together.

To make sure America stays strong, we would be smart to strengthen those qualities in our society, hold them as dear, rather than waste our energy on Mr. Potato Head and CRT. Hispanics are nothing to fear; they are hard working, family oriented, Christan. We need workers. They need work. Their kids and grandkids will be as American as any one else born here, so long as we don't isolate them, make it hard for them to dive into American life. You don't want to pay their way? Fine, make them legal so they pay taxes.

Walls and weapons won't stop the tide. Just share, fergodssake.

And about 3 million Americans die per year. Our population is not growing. We have room.

I am well aware, Common Sense 1. But I am not going to just go along with inane assertions made by some nativist that we are being invaded by the immigrant hordes. Especially when he follows it up to say we need to tear down the Statue of Liberty.

This sounds like utter fascism.

Sounds awful 1862ish

But what has changed is the reason people are coming to America. And all of them are not honorable.

All of them? What reasons are you referring to VySky?
