BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Iraqi insurgents used two children as a cover to get through a checkpoint in Baghdad and then blew up the car while the kids were still inside, a U.S. general said Tuesday.

Two adults jumped from the car, leaving the children in the back. Moments later, the car exploded, witnesses said.

The car went through a checkpoint Sunday and parked by a market across the street from a school, said Maj. Gen. Michael Barbero, deputy director for regional operations in the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

We have known the terrorists to act in this manner, they have no form of honor or any idea of "civilized" behavior. Even in war there are rules because there are just some things you do not do. But they have bombed all girl elementary schools, used bystanders as shields, use kids to do their dirty work, etc.

These two in particular should be staked out in the desert to bake in the sun. Anyone associated with them (as in their group, cell, whatever) should be shot on sight. It should be our number one priority in Baghdad to hunt down and kill those involved with this particular situation. If we are there to protect the Iraqi people, then this is definitely a good way to show our sincerity.

I do not condone it, and the blame falls squarely on the sick SOB's who did it - EVERYONE can agree on that (I feel confident to speak for everyone on this) Does it even need to be broached?

That said, and I know I will take much flak for this, Bush hasn't taken enough blame for starting all this. Most agree that Bush lied to get us into this war. That lie costs thousands of American lives, innocent Iraqi's, the reputation of America as a whole, sickening incidents like this have RISEN by 100's of percents, and on and on. (and counting)
