About an hour ago, the gal on Fox News said: "The bombing seems to have all of the earmarks of al-Qaida." What exactly does that mean? Wouldn't most bombings look similar until they were really investigated?

FOX news: bombings + planned = Al-Qaeda.

It's a understandable assumption given the past five years of planned bombings have been claimed by Al-Qaeda.

MSNBC says this:

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attacks, but the blasts came in quick succession — a common tactic employed by Kashmiri separatists who have repeatedly targeted India’s cities.

Are Kashmiri separates part of al Qaeda?

It's all speculation. No one has anyway to know who planned the bombings until an investigation is put forth or someone claims responsibility.

Fox needs to relate things to AL-Q and the war on terror (that is the name still right?) and other news places will pose their various assumptions on who did it.

and here i thought this was a thread to discuss the recent tragedy that has occured in India

INSTEAD IT IS JUST ANOTHER BASH FOXNEWS thread *yawns*

get a life and try to keep perspective

100+ dead, 100's injured.....how can we use it to attack bush or foxnews, or the republicans, yada, yada, yada

bitter desperate post showing more of what the dems/libs have to offer the country

NOTHING but criticism. good luck winning an election on that platform. It sure worked well for Kerry:roll:

Well, you could have hijacked it to make it into such a topic. ;)
To me, it looked like a thread asking why bombings are automatically attributed to al-quaeda. I don't think that is smart journalism as it lets those butt-heads get some cheap news-time.

Granted, some of the responses used it as an opportunity to mount attacks, but it still struck me as an honest and innocent question.

In another lifetime, weren't you concerned that I was too pessimistic about the way I perceived things? Isn't this a little of that, also? Anymore, I think we are going to be alright. Still scared by certain characters, but none of those are elected officials in the US.

Woah man, no need to get all defensive. I just wondered what the "al-qaida earmarks" were, and why it was immediately attributed to them.
Oh well, at least your skepticism/paranoia made me laugh.

Not knowing 100% I would have to say the target, the time the bombs were set off (almost all at the same time)
but like others have said here you’ll have to wait and see what the investigations uncover.

I would suspect they were done by Kashmere separatists, but one could bet their bottom dollar that it was Muslim extermist group.
