Increasingly evil NBA is getting woke-er, and going broke-er! Deservedly so!

Americans are stuck at home due to coronavirus restrictions. You'd think that would lead to an increase in NBA viewership. Nope! In fact, the NBA playoff viewership is down 40% over last year!

The NBA deserves it's decline in viewership, because they are a greedy, soul-less organization. They openly support the Chinese communist party, and demand that players NOT criticize or even mention the REAL human rights violations in China! That includes genocides, forced organ harvest of ethnic minorities, slave labor camps, etc.

The NBA has talent development centers(sweat shops) in China, where 12-15 year old prospects are reportedly physically beaten for "underperforming"!

But now, the NBA have found what they assumed would be an easy, low-risk bandwagon to jump on, which they hoped would make up for their cold hearted Chinese policies. So they give empty, symbolic lip service and money to BLM. Unfortunately, Americans are FINALLY re-realizing what BLM really is, and the "news" media's denials, cover-ups and gaslighting hasn't prevented us from seeing the truth.

As a result of all of this, people are choosing to walk away from the NBA... Good!

I must point out, ModerationNow!, that the "wokeness" of the NBA and the organization's support of the actions of the Fascist Chinese government are two different points of criticism and one should not be used as a pretext to condemn the organization. Many American companies have either been very soft on Chinese fascism, or have helped it along through technology exchange. Those who have gone along with Chinese fascism to get along with Chinese fascism should be rightly condemned.

But downplaying the horrors perpetrated by the Chinese government should be the grounds for criticism and attack, and it should not be used as a figleaf or a pretext to attack the NBA, because of its many players' and teams' support of social justice. Not unless one is simply pointing out the gross hypocrisy of its many team members who are claiming to be against oppression in the United States but want to keep mum about even worse oppression in other countries because it affects their bottom line.

Individual players have a wide variety of political opinions, some shared, some not.
NBA team owners do too.
And it is the team owners who decide whether or not to enforce a gag rule on China or BLM, and when it comes to BLM, one must ask if these players and team owners support the concept or the group itself.

I've repeatedly stated on record here at DP that the concept "black lives matter" existed long before the organized group BLM existed.
I was thinking and saying that black lives matter when DC and Maryland still had some segregated facilities.
That was about fifty-six years ago.
BLM has been around for seven years.

I'm confused. The whole point of the thread WAS to criticize them for ignoring MAJOR human rights violations in 1 country, purely out of greed. Then to to point out how they feign outrage over this grossly exaggerated, manipulated issue over what's being characterized as intentional murder of (specifically)BLACK people. The reality ISNT that there's a huge pandemic of police officers unjustifiably murdering black people for no reason! Almost every case that BLM, the democrats, the media and the left have USED to foment mass fear, anger, protest and rioting, have turned out to be falsely presented! BLM sprung into existence after Michael Brown was killed, based entirely on a false and completely discredited premise! Most of the SMALL NUMBER of cases of black folks being allegedly murdered by racist cops have been mostly or entirely discredited.

The latest round of riots was started because a an armed black man killed himself on camera(days ago). But since there were police officers "standing nearby", it was automatically used as an excuse for more looting and rioting!

The bottom line is that the NBA willfully ignores the murder, enslavement, torture and imprisonment of many millions of people in one country, while pretending to lose their freaking minds in "outrage" over a handful of criminals who fought with police and were shot! Do you really not see a credibility issue there!?

The concept that "the lives of black people matter" is a completely different thing than BLM, which is a Marxist political organization, who's primary goal is radical political change to something similar to communism in the US and across western democracies, using the false strawman premise that there's an epidemic of innocent black people being systematically murdered by a racist police system!

Interesting that you deny that there's a systemic problem with police re black people but you're absolutely certain that the BLM organization is a fifth column marxist invasion which is sure to sweep the country by force.

Are you always this confused?
