You could do with some English lessons yourself, sweetie.

I'm making sure my daughter keeps up with her Mandarin since China will most likely be super power when she is working force age

After we’re don with Iran and Syria, the U.S. will sink into a great economic depression due to the cost of bringing democracy to the middle east. At that time China will rise as the industrial superpower and world police. You are wise to teach your daughter Mandarin, just as it is wise for Mexicans to have their children learn English now.

But all of that is for another thread.

How will your society work if you don´t even speak the same language ? Next we would talk about the different intress of different races...

Yeah, but they've already got 1 billion+ workers, why the hell would they want her going over there taking a Chinese persons job?;)

Now that's funny!

To be honest I've already been using it a lot. When I used to be a research chemist I found it came in handy dealing with the postgraduate students and or professors visiting from Asia. My sister is senior partner of her own software company and finds she uses her mandarin with some of the employees (she hasn't started to outsource......yet.) , but then, these fields are already highly populated by Asians!!!!!
