Building a fence help won't help. Latino's are having more children than illegal migrants. That's a fact.
Of course they don't have to play by our rules. No Americans played by their rules in Texas or California when it was part of Mexico.
What Mexico lost through war, it will gain through population.
Payback's a bitch.
What a cynical outlook. You are right, though - a fence will not solve the illegal immigration problem. The biggest 'enemy' this coutry faces is not the illegals who flood across the borders but our very own politicians who lack the resolve, the backbone, the desire to do what they were hired to do, and that is work for the good of this country.
Building a fence alone would not work, but it would be a start. Putting troops along the border alone would not work, but it would help. On top of those two, ENFORCE THE EXISTING LAWS with a ZERO TOLERANCE policy, much like the drug policy which allows seisure of personal/private property of those who break the law. Heavy fines and the seisure of property, maybe even closing their doors for a time (the threat of which would equal a 'death sentence' to some businesses) would cause all the jobs to dry up - no jobs, no reason to come here. Same thing with people hiring illegals to be their landscapers, gardeners, and baby sitters - sorry to make your life a little more complex, where you actually have to do the work yourself or have to hire Americans for as little more, but we are talking about oing what is best for this nation. Heavy fines and the threat of property seized for these violators would also work on top of all the other measures.
But again, none of these are going to happen without such marches by Americans that we saw from the latinos and illegals because the politicians are so far gone selling out this country for a vote and a dollar that they will never take action otherwise! The result of every drop of sweat, every drrop of blood, and of every life sacrificed to make this country what it is today is being auctioned off to the highest bidder every day by the politicians who WE voted in yet who believe they do not work FOR us in the least!
Our Founding Fathers believed being a U.S. representative should have been like Jury Duty - 'everyone' gets a turn, it is only for a short time, and everyone goes home after their term. They wanted it to be this way because they saw the hazard/trap of corruption becoming a problem the longer a person is in that position, especially if it ever became a full-time job/way of life. BOY were they some smart folks! We have failed to listen, and now the realization of their wisdom is biting us in the A$$!
