Try calling your local health department to see if anyone missed a shot and they have a few extra available that day.

They can't put them back into cold storage and people are reporting success from this strategy.

Different places have different rules though.

I've seen peeps I know IRL have success with this. They showed up in line before the place opened, without an appointment, and *zing* they were in!

Last Monday Colorado opened vaccinations to people age 65-69, which is where I'm at, so last night,I went and registered on a boatload of medical provider sites...my health network, my cardiologist's network, the VA, etc. But then I took a look at the state medicaid site and I found a link to Safeway. I'll be damned, I was able to make an actual appointment to get the 1st shot next week Saturday.

I told a friend who's husband is 70 and should have been able to get a shot already, but hasn't gotten called up...and they were able to make an appointment for today.
