If you think removing Trump will solve everything, you're not comprehending the broader picture. (2 Viewers)

Many posts in DP lament the current state of affairs: Trump’s destructive actions, the breakdown of politics, the seemingly endless corruption. And yes, all of that is true. However, I get the feeling many people cling to the notion that we can "fix" things and defeat the "bad guys" if Trump were to somehow magically disappear.

The fact is, even if Trump were to magically disappear tomorrow, it would do nothing to address fundamental systemic problems! When a society lacks the necessary skills, knowledge, integrity, and vision, its collective poor decisions and actions can and will erode its foundations, leading to instability, decline, and ultimately, collapse.

It's tough when we need to discuss something uncomfortable like the potential collapse of human civilization, but avoiding such discussions won't magically make the problem go away.

So, I figured it would be worthwhile to create a doodly video about a preventable harm (from a Fermi paradox perspective), hoping to start a wide discussion about where humanity is heading.

FWIW, although the Fermi paradox originates from a scientific observation and question, the paradox boils down to a fundamental philosophical question about humanity's ultimate fate in the universe.

We could say the same about leftist ideas. We've seen them applied over and over and the concept of utopia on Earth has also been a vast and important idea that has failed to materialize even one time.

Just because we don't have utopia does not mean there aren't better and worse ways of doing things. Consequences speak for themselves.

Liberal societies:

Meanwhile, conservative societies tend to be among the most stagnant, backward, repressive, uneducated, and intolerant in the world.
